comers he started the Expect The UnExpected mixtape series With Vol 1 due out this summer he Is eager to show the world what they can expect I say expect the unexpected because I never wanted to be the same ole same ass nigga from the hood talking bout how he did this and that but aint really giving you no insight as to who they really are says Rashawn Clark the ring leader of the G B Mafia Theres more to a person than what they been through cause this nigga standing next to you could of experienced the same shit ya know I think the audience deserves more for their money and their time I done went through allota shit too but I got places to go from there Rashawn does just that throughout his mixtape on songs like 48 Hours where he takes you on a passenger side ride through a drug trafficking deal gone bad and Balance the two verse two scenario song that elaborates on the phrase watch your back On the B side of things is the Dj Premier Recognize instrumental assisted Illa Than Most which him and producer rapper J Bravo 1 4 of the G B Mafia showcases lyrical skills as to why they are above all challengers and the most lyrically creative record on the mix You Only Live Once is his invitation for all wannabe emcees to step up to get knocked down Expect The UnExpecteds first street single is the ever so mentioned dont start nothing in the club it wont be nothing The B I G PayBack named after the slain rapper The Notorious B I G for his lyrical inspiration and the 1970 s James Brown classic namely titled The Big Payback proves Rashawn is capable of giving both the streets and the clubs a dose of their own medicine I tell people all the time you gone love it cause its nothing youd ever expect from someone from not only my region but me as a person Rashawn Clark was born Anthony Rashawn Clark twenty years ago on the Westside of Chicago I lived just about almost everywhere on the Westside he informs I dont really have a set block or neighborhood that I could say I grew up in cause we moved like every year literally I grew up with my moms and her 3 other boys along with her husband knowing my biological father and where he lived but never cared just like him My moms was never at home cause she had I dont know how many jobs trying support a 6 person household by herself so naturally I learned everything I know from either my brothers or from the streets It was like one out of maybe 20 houses in my hood where a male figure actually lived there let alone provided for that unit he says With this being my reality I followed the path of that same street lifestyle you hear about all the time cause that was the path that was laid for me Having always been an artist since the days of kindergarten finger paints he later took interest in the art of hip hop music freestyling earlier material to later writing them down to relieve the pressure of memorizing them He admits to not have always being influence by the likes of The Notorious B I G and Rakim to name a few played a significant roll in his journey to become a better writer Early on when I first started I was a big Bone fan referring to the estranged rap group Bone Thugs N Harmony but I grew out of that and turned to the whole NoLimit Records movement for inspiration I grew out of that too Everybody in the hood knew I rapped and they always told me I was the best out of everybody in the hood that claimed they could spit and shit but you know everybody swear they can anyway After releasing numerous full length street albums in his neighborhood I used to record me and my friends on my moms radio and draw up covers for them and everything then I would sell them to the neighbor hood drug dealers and whoever wanted one says Rashawn hes now ready for his shot at the big leagues With the plans to release four consecutive mixtapes before the end of the year he is sure to catch the ears of some heavyweight A List executives and A Rs At the end of the day when its all said and
