(We currently live in the Memphis Tn area)
Out of these Florida cities which is the best one to live in? Winter Park, Orlando, Sanford, Alamonte Springs, Oviedo- which is the best city to live in out of these choices? I am seriously considering relocating to another state. Where are some of the best cities to live in the US ? I have been living in Florida way too long. Even though the weather in the winter months is great, I find that this place has very little else to offer me. I want to relocate but really am kind of scared to do it, not knowing a soul if I go somewhere new. Where would you suggest are some of the best cities to go to check out and ultimately move to and live as far as cost of living, finding affordable but nice housing (rental), work opportunities, single and social and dating life, culture, beauty and some nice, good places to go and hang out to meet friendly people? I am currently researching any and all of the best possibilites because I seriously want to get out of here. Thanks!
What are the best South-East Cities to live in? I live in New York and want to move south. Would consider NC, SC, or GA. I haven't been to too many places down there. I'm looking for a quiet, slower lifestyle then the Northeast. But I still want a decent Barnes & Noble and the prospect of finding a job. Does anyone know any websites that help you explore areas for relocation?

What are the best cities in Mexico to live for an American? Okay, so I've been scouring the Net and picking on friends' brains to find out about Mexicali, Tijuana and Mexico City. Also, I'd like to have a grounded idea on cost of living (rent, food, etc.), plus availability of Internet broadband in your city of choice (I need the latter because of my freelance work as a translator). Last, but not least, I'd like to know the requirements for renting an apartment (furnished, unfurnished) in Mexico.

What kinds of places are best for highly introverted people to live in? Any specific cities/towns? I've heard some people say big cities are better because people mind their own business, you can be anonymous, and it's easier to find people who share your unique interests. However, I've heard others say small towns are better because of the stability, peacefulness, and less overwhelming stimulation. Which is best? Any particular places? Advice if you'd like to live in a big city someday, far from your family?

Which cities or towns in the northeast are amongst the best places to live and buy a home? I'm from NYC, I just moved back here from Los Angeles because I want to be closer to my family. Still, I don't want to stay in NYC. (I do love my home, but it's not cost effective for me to remain a resident) I just want to live close by. Any ideas on where I can find some affordable real estate (ie: 50 - 150,000 range) in other cities or towns nearby --maybe like two to three hours away? I'm looking for decent, well-rounded places that offer a multitude of options. Smaller towns are ok, but they shouldn't be microscopic. I'm still young (in my lae 20's) so there would have to be an 20 - 30's crowd, some sort of nightlife or places to meet people.

Which U.S. cities have the best people? Worst people? You're welcome to use your own definition of what constitutes "good" people. Best: Any Texas city except Dallas, Nashville, Memphis, Birmingham, Mobile, North Carolina's Triad, Oklahoma City, Tulsa, Cheyenne, Salt Lake City, Madison, WI, New York (passionate about their city and actually pretty open to strangers.) Friendly folks, helpful, charitable to others when times get bad, prideful of their cities. Worst: Louisville, Lexington, Any city in Ohio except Cincinnati, Chicago, Los Angeles, San Diego, Detroit, Denver, Kansas City, Washington, DC, Baltimore, Orlando, Miami, New Orleans. Where hospitality is not as common, people are more likely to be rude and impolite to your face, and folks tend not to have as much pride in their cities (except Chicagoans, they love their city.)
What cities are best for new teachers? I recently decided to change my major from computer science to early childhood education (I would like to be a 2nd grade teacher). My question is, what cities currently have the highest demand? I lived in Toledo until very recently, and I can tell you, it is a no-man's land for teachers.

I agree w/ you, Louisville dues SUCK! Cincinnati is actually not that bad, I used to live there. The rest of Ohio sucks, though. Another "best" city: Murray, Kentucky Another "worst" city: Kansas City, MO/KS

Can you name best top five sports cities in America? My opinion about the top ten sports cities in America now since the NFL season was over. Rank up the best sports cities in America and tell me the explains of why. Some top sports cities don't have any NFL team or the college football isn't include best sports cities. My opinion of best sports cities in America. 1. Boston- (Red Sox, Patriots, Celtics, and Bruins) 2. New York (Yankees, Mets, Devils, Islanders, Rangers, Giants, Jets, Knicks, and Nets) 3. Chicago (Bulls, Blackhawks, Cubs, White Sox, and Bears) 4. San Fransisco (49ers, Raiders, Warriors, Sharks, A's, and Giants) 5. Dallas (Stars, Mavericks, Cowboys, and Rangers) tie 5. Detroit (Tigers, Pistons, Red Wings, and Lions) I don't think that Los Angeles is in top five sports cities because they don't have the NFL team current as they had two teams as can't survived one. 1954, what about the NBA or NHL teams in Los Angeles? And you might forget about Ducks from Anaheim. Or Los Angeles Lakers too. Without have the NFL team in Los Angeles, it has second most professional teams in America behind New York City it has nine teams. Los Angeles have around six teams. Sparks might include the list of LA's teams. But Sparks are WNBA team. And have two MLS teams in Southern California.
Which are the best cities in Europe for a group of 18 year olds to visit? So, me and my friends are going to do the Inter Rail these holidays, and the trajectory we were planning was Lisbon (from where we set out) ---> Barcelona ----> Civitavecchia--> Rome --> Venice ---> Greece (still don't know where) ---> Budapest ----> Prague ---> Berlin ----> Amsterdam ----> Brussels ----> London ----> Paris ----> San Sebastian ----> Lisbon. We have 22 days to do it. Recommendations for cities to visit are welcome! Small cities and towns are also OK (as long as they have a train station. We are mainly going to party, don't suggest cities with based on cultural/historical stuff... Nice cities (aesthetically pleasing) with fun, young and hot people would be the best.
which cities around pasadena,ca are best to raise children? work might move us to pasadena, what cities are best to raise kids. We currently live in Pleasanton, Ca which is a med-sized city with a small town field and wide streets. There are sports parks and pools all over. But also we do not want to live somewhere that is very $$ and within a reasonable commute time to Pasadena...any thoughts??
Best and worst cities in the South? Why? The South is KY, OK, TX, LA, AR, MS, AL, GA, FL, SC, NC, TN, and VA. Best: 1. Austin, 2. San Antonio, 3. Fort Worth. Both have lots to do, much to offer in arts and culture (especially Austin,) history-rich, beautiful, great parks, great food, friendly folks. GREAT CITIES! Worst: 1. Orlando. Other than Disney World and Universal Studios, it's a boring, dumpy, unremarkable city. Plus, it's full of rude yankee transplants. 2. Louisville, KY: Beautiful city, but talk about RUDE people, even in churches, as well as the service people in hotels and restaurants. Spend about 2 days there and you'll change your mind on Kentucky being "that friendly," as the slogan goes. Collectively, they seem to think the world revolves around THEM. 3. Clarksville, TN. No offense to people that live there, I guess it's just an overgrown military town with little excitement. I have nothing "personal" against it, though. In general, though, the South is great!
Why is my city one of the best cities for jobs in the US when I have trouble finding work in it? http://promo.realestate.yahoo.com/best_cities_for_jobs.html I live near the 2nd best city for jobs(Raleigh, NC) but I have to worst luck finding work. I had to reduce myself to a Target employee because I am running out of money trying to find employment. I have been on interviews many times this year and no luck at all. Do you even believe this list? Kinda contradicts the irony doesn't it. I have college education and graduated with a certificate(not degree). I had perfect attendance in school and I have 4 years of office experience.
Best sport cities?? First off: here is another silly question I found. I couldn't stop laughing for a few minutes. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AhHmaXhQNynD_dfDVNV1Ov_sy6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20080308090422AAKWV46&show=7#profile-info-MzIgnNcdaa What do you think are the best sport cities in the United States?? Let's not base this on whether or not the city has hockey. Lets do this by not only who has a better set of dedicated fans but also pays attention to the other sports that are not as popular. Such as MLS Arena Football etc(if they have) What about Green Bay?? Sure they only have 1 pro team but the fans own the team!! Phoenix is the biggest front runner city. You watch, now that the Suns are choking and the Coyotes are heading in the right direction, you will see more people jumping off the Suns bandwagon and jumping on the Coyotes one. Well the womans section is just as bad. Usually it's alot of young teenage women asking if they are getting their period for the first time?? They have no Idea of what the pinkish stain in their panties are so they have to ask a bunch of complete strangers what it is since they would feel embarassed to ask their own mother. LOL are you retarted? name a sport without new york I was talking about true fan dedication, retard!!!

So the ranking of best cities in the world is out. What do you think of U.S. ranks and impact on Baghdad? The report on best cities to live in, in the world shows Switzerland and Canada as having the highest rankings, while the U.S. has Honalulu at 27th place being the first U.S. city ranked on the list, and Baghdad is the lowest. Most people would focus on the Best cities to live in and not really thinking so much about the worst - If Baghdad is the lowest ranked, doesn't that tell us that the U.S. (after 4 years) is doing a most terrible job of having any positive effect there?
What cities/states provide the best HIV/AIDS assistance? I'm thinking of moving and I have been HIV+ for 20 years. I am going on ssdi soon. I want to know what cities and states provide the best assistance programs with the least hassles. What are the best cities for interracial dating? OK, I have to move because Florida is way too conservative regarding interracial dating, specifically black/African-American women and white/Caucasian men, so I want to know from people "in the know" (other black/African-American women and white/Caucasian men) what are the best cities for interracial dating? What I mean by that is where can you walk down the street holding hands and not have people shout nasty remarks, where people are more open minded and where love is just that....love. Or...feel free to tell me what I am dreaming because that place does not exist in the United States!!! I know NYC is on the top of most people's lists, but I am interested in hearing about other cities. Thanks in advance and happy loving!!!
What is the best five sports cities in the United States? Rank your five best sports cities in U.S. in order and give a reason why. Mine are... 1)Philly: they boo alot but they are knowledgable and passionate (Eagles, Sixers, Phillies, Flyers, Nova, Temple, Drexel, St. Joes, Penn) 2)Charlotte: southern up and coming fans (Panthers, Bobcats, UNCC, mostly NASCAR(especially lil' e)) 3)Boston: extremely loyal fans (Red Sox, Celtics, Pats, Bruins, BC) 4)NYC: the most hated of the hated but winners (Giants/Jets, Knicks/Nets, Yankees/Mets, Islanders/Rangers) 5)Chicago: a little spoiled and very loftty expectations (Bears, Bulls, Blackhawks, Cubs/White Sox) that's my list I know I didn't list Detroit (their #6 if you ask me) or LA (they can only keep the Lakers and colleges so no thanks) or a lot more southern cities (mostly college cities) but that's how I see it. i added Charlotte for something that many of you sports fans aren't even considering... NASCAR. It's the biggest growing sport and Charlotte is it's capital. P.S. winning has nothing to do with it. Philly, Chicago, and Boston for a long time had clubs that couldn't win a scrimmage but they still showed up. What good is winning if fans don't show up (i.e. Florida Marlins) All you LA people are disqualified. You had TWO NFL teams and couldn't keep one. That reeks of not supporting your club. And you don't deserve to get an expansion team. I will give you guys the Lakers and Dodgers though.

What are the best cities for hippie/counter culture? Where can you sell street art? I'm currently living in an intentional community (check ic.org if curious). I have a several months until I become a full fledged "member." I feel the travel bug calling though. When I become a member, I'm probably going to vagabond around for a bit. What are the best cities in the U.S. to bum about in. Best counter culture and hippie scene, as such. I'm also a charcoal/street artist and wonder what the best places to sell my wears street side are? The kinda place where I don't need a vendors license and the community would be receptive to this kind of thing. Even a good list of hippie festivals would be nice. I know about Rainbow Gathering, but thats about it. Checked at digihitch.com, but no real responses. Thanks for any help!
