What are the best South-East Cities to live in? I live in New York and want to move south. Would consider NC, SC, or GA. I haven't been to too many places down there. I was thinking the Raleigh, NC area, or one if it's neighbor cities. But what about Charlotte? Athens? Winston-Salem? Columbia? How do I know which areas are even worth checking out? I'm looking for a quiet, slower lifestyle then the Northeast. But I still want a decent Barnes & Noble and the prospect of finding a job. Does anyone know any websites that help you explore areas for relocation?

What are the best cities in Mexico to live for an American? Okay, so I've been scouring the Net and picking on friends' brains to find out about Mexicali, Tijuana and Mexico City. However, I'm still undecided and need some practical (experience-based, not prejudice-based!) advice and pointers on the best places (cities, towns) to live in Mexico for an American. Also, I'd like to have a grounded idea on cost of living (rent, food, etc.), plus availability of Internet broadband in your city of choice (I need the latter because of my freelance work as a translator). Last, but not least, I'd like to know the requirements for renting an apartment (furnished, unfurnished) in Mexico.

I am seriously considering relocating to another state. Where are some of the best cities to live in the US ? I have been living in Florida way too long. Even though the weather in the winter months is great, I find that this place has very little else to offer me. I want to relocate but really am kind of scared to do it, not knowing a soul if I go somewhere new. Where would you suggest are some of the best cities to go to check out and ultimately move to and live as far as cost of living, finding affordable but nice housing (rental), work opportunities, single and social and dating life, culture, beauty and some nice, good places to go and hang out to meet friendly people? What kinds of places are best for highly introverted people to live in? Any specific cities/towns? I've heard some people say big cities are better because people mind their own business, you can be anonymous, and it's easier to find people who share your unique interests. However, I've heard others say small towns are better because of the stability, peacefulness, and less overwhelming stimulation. Which is best? Any particular places? Advice if you'd like to live in a big city someday, far from your family?
What are the living costs of Hawaii and which are the best cities in which to live? I am from Tennessee but have spent many years abroad. I have just recently moved back to Tennessee and enjoy my family but would like to move my husband, from Holland, back to a tropical environment- of which he loves very much. We are in a money saving state of mind and would like to be able to save money and live a good life. Is this possible in Hawaii?
Which cities or towns in the northeast are amongst the best places to live and buy a home? I'm from NYC, I just moved back here from Los Angeles because I want to be closer to my family. Still, I don't want to stay in NYC. (I do love my home, but it's not cost effective for me to remain a resident) I just want to live close by. Any ideas on where I can find some affordable real estate (ie: 50 - 150,000 range) in other cities or towns nearby --maybe like two to three hours away? I'm looking for decent, well-rounded places that offer a multitude of options. Smaller towns are ok, but they shouldn't be microscopic. I'm still young (in my lae 20's) so there would have to be an 20 - 30's crowd, some sort of nightlife or places to meet people.

Is the cost of living in Orlando and Tampa Florida really expensive places to live? I ask this question because yesterday i was reading online an article that listed the best places that many people were moving to and these two cities were on the list. I live in Detroit and there are hardly any jobs here at all and there is entirely TOO much senseless violence here. They call Detroit "Death City." The crime here is so bad that i have gotten to the point where i am afraid to leave the house now. I can't live someplace where i am in constant fear for my life.

Best Cities To Live In? I was wondering what some good cities to live in are? I live in ohio right now and I hate it! I have lived here all my life and I think its soooooo lame and boring. I really would like to live in a big city but I have lived in the country most of my life outside of a small city! I dont like the cold, and I would like to be close to amusement parks so I could get season passes!
Best cities to live in? I am almost certain I want to live down south. I will be a school teacher, and the job market is another thing I took into consideration. In the running so far is Dallas, Miami, and Atlanta. I don't want want to live in a place with those horrific hurricanes,...so maybe Miami might be out of the running after all. I don't want to live in a place with earthquakes, so LA was definately out the question. I would consider the east coast maybe....Boston, Baltimore, and etc. I live in the Midwest and the weather is not harsh at all, even the tornadoes are mild to barely noticable where I live. Weather one of the many deciding factors in finding a new city to start my life in. Help...what do you think? Any advice will be helpful!!
Best cities to live in the States? I know this question has been asked many times, but always get different opinions. I would like to hear it again. I lived in Bay Area, California for 5 years, then for job related issue, currently live in Vancouver, Canada. I kinda like both places. The California has very nice weather, but not much going on (boring). Vancouver is nice, very convenient to go around, nice beaches, but rains a lot, and small city. I am considering to move to Florida, which I heard it's fun, like beaches, weather, crowded, but downsides could be the education (for our children in the future), and safety. Any suggestions would be much appreciated! I live in San Jose area, there's nothing going on. There's no cars on the street after 10pm, all stores closed. If I wanted to go to beaches, I had to drive like 1 hour, and found out there's nobody there, even in the weekend. New York could be fun, like the scenes in Garfields where he lives. anyone know which area/city is that?
Honolulu vs. las vegas, which is a better city to live in? for a single female?? my favorite activiites are dining and shopping, but the weather in Hawaii is TOO hot all year round for me to take, I'm going crazy here at least in Las Vegas, it is a little cooler during the winter months, down into the '50's right? plus I get tired of the Hawaiian local food, I miss the mainland so much!
Best Small Town Rural Southern Cities to Live In? So I've been through a lot of times in the area I live in, and it holds a lot of patterned routines that are not healthy for my mindset. I'm also not suited for the income that is required to maintain a lifestyle here, or the atmosphere that this environment provides. I've been trying to do some research into quiet rurual southen areas that are low key and low population, traditional types-- farmers markets and country stores and local shops and such, not so spread out that it's not functionally developed, but enough to have a community thats welcoming and involved. I know all the big busy names likes Savannah and Atlanta and those things, but I'm trying to find the smaller off "45 minutes from such and such" places, where places go as fixer upers and small amount of land for cheap, get the drift? I'm from South Florida so the heat doesn't do me me in, it's the snow I have only seen once in my life. I'm a simple sort of girl really and not in the meek sense, I just don't have the taste for down here, I'd rather be sitting out back on my friends poarch and working and things like that then trying to beat 'f rush how... y'know.. the more natual qualities and bountiful things
