What are the best relaxing European cities? I am planning a honeymoon to Europe with my fiancee to some major tourist destinations but I was hoping to add in for a few days a more relaxing place as well. Also a city with a big enough airport that we can fly to it direct from major airports (London, Paris, Rome). Thanks!

What is the best European city to visit; London or Paris, and why? I have difficulty in deciding which city would be better to go on a vacation to. Everyone tells me different things! What do you think? The Eiffel tower and museums, or Big Ben and Buckingham Palace? I know that you can actually go in Buckingham Palace during September, but Versailles is open all of the time. What do you think is the most cost-effective, fun, interesting, educational, or just plain better? I would like some specific reasons, too, if you don't mind. But I'm flexible. Thanks for your opinion! :-)

Which European city has the best art scene & nightlife for young and non-trendy travelors? A few of my friends (and myself, of course) are planning a trip to Europe this year and were wondering which city is best for late night partying and general carousing? We're really looking to get into some "trouble" here, but nothing too extreme or illegal. We're also sort of wanting to avoid anything too hip or trendy and are seeking more of a laid-back, liberal and avante-garde art scene with cool friendly locals...Someone suggested Berlin, another person said it was Amsterdam or Barcelona? Does anyone have any ideas?

why scooters are widely spread only in southern European cities ? they seem to be very common in the streets of Rome, Madrid, Barcelone or Milan... but are really rarely seen in Amsterdam, Stokholm, London or Berlin while northern in European countries bicicles are much more common - so it would mean the climate is not the reason, since bicicles are not more adapted to cold than scooters... is it a cultural thing linked with romance languages ? Paris, even if situated as much north than Munich seem to be a "scooter-city"...

What North or South American Cities are most like European cities? I love European cities, and I'm wondering what cities in the U.S., Canada, and perhaps South America are most like European cities. Should I just stay in Italy (Rome, Florence, Venice) or go to more European cities for anniversary? My husband and I will be celebrating our 10 yr anniversary and I want to take him to Italy, my most favorite European country. I have visited many cities throughout Europe but he hasn't. He has only been in Spain once while I have been in Europe 4 times many years ago (before the Euro!). I was checking prices and tours of just Italy and this costs me about the same as other tours to other countries. I was thinking that if we go to Italy, we can only afford the kind of tour that would take us to Rome, Florence and Venice (if I go to Italy, I must go to these three, hands down). There are other tours that touch these three only briefly, and also include cities in France, England, even Germany, for about the same price and maybe an extra couple of days more than the Italian tour. I don't know what to choose. He tells me he doesn't have a preference, so it's up to me. Also, do you have any recommendations for tour company that is not geared to only senior citizens or wild singles?

What are the best cities in Europe to live in? HELP!? Let me start by describing myself. I'm a 21 year old, single good-looking (lol), male applying to study abroad. I'm very outgoing, and i'm hoping to settle down for about 6 months (January to June) in a european city that compliments my nature. My interests lie in incredible nightlife, an abundance of culture, and beautiful women who aren't shy but yet both classy and intelligent. My main issue is deciding on WHERE TO GO.... i've been recommended several cities but haven't come to a decision. Amsterdam, Barcelona, and Stockholm, are among my top three for the moment, but still very uncertain... HELP PLEASE!! any input is greatly appreciated.

Crime in European Cities? It seem anyone's willing to give a very truthful, upfront account of crime in paris. I'm 20 years old and a guy, obviously, and I've lived near Washington D.C. for some time. I've since learned the ins and outs of the city and how to survive and blend in. I'll be spending a month in Paris in July for an academic program (I'm a student) and I was wondering if someone could give me a very truthful account of how one should hold his own in Paris, or a similar city. What do the locals do to avoid being victim to crime? and what would be the most practical way to blend in, as i'm absolutely not one to act 'touristy' lol
