What are some of the best mid-sized US cities in your opinion? My mom is contemplating a move somewhere but she doesn't know where to go. She wants to live in a mid-sized city (not too big but not too small) that is growing but not growing too fast. It has to be fairly safe, clean, attractive, and have somewhat affordable housing or apartments available. What is your opinion on the best mid-sized city in the US? Please explain. daniel
What is the best US city to be stationed while in the Army? Ok, my husband and I have been discussing him re-enlisting into the Army because we believe it will be better for us in the long run. We were informed by his recruiter that since he is coming back to the military, he will be able to choose his base. My question is in your opinion(s), what and where are the best US cities to be stationed at with kids?

What are the best cities in the US to move to if I am an IT professional and may want to start an IT business? I want to move from Ohio to another state with decent weather and most importantly, a high demand for IT services. I am hoping to start a business with a partner, and want somewhere that the conditions are right to do so. The sector is IT retail, hardware services, IT support, networking and web site design, mostly for small businesses, but will also serve individuals. Would like to steer clear of California and desire a place with decent overall cost of living. Thanks

Which US Cities have the best towns to visit surrounding it? For instance, if I got to Philly, instead of staying in the city I can go up to Lancaster and visit the Amish towns or go over to New Hope which is a very cool town north of Philly. Can we expect to see the Obama Regime flex more of its military might over US cities? Right now I bet they think they have to make a show of force, expecially over cities held by those evil right wing "radical terrorists" To remind them that all their shotguns and handguns that they are still graciously letting us have by not revoking the 2nd Amendment (yet) would be useless in the face of the US Army and/or the Obama Civilian Security Force.
I am seriously considering relocating to another state. Where are some of the best cities to live in the US ? I have been living in Florida way too long. Even though the weather in the winter months is great, I find that this place has very little else to offer me. I want to relocate but really am kind of scared to do it, not knowing a soul if I go somewhere new. Where would you suggest are some of the best cities to go to check out and ultimately move to and live as far as cost of living, finding affordable but nice housing (rental), work opportunities, single and social and dating life, culture, beauty and some nice, good places to go and hang out to meet friendly people? I am currently researching any and all of the best possibilites because I seriously want to get out of here. Thanks!
where can I find a list of all the neighborhoods for all the US cities? Downloadable database is preffered. Look: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_neighborhood_listings_by_city See the US section. When you select one of the US cities, you get a list of neighbourhoods for the city selected. This list is what I need for ALL cities, prefferably as a downloadable database. Such a database must be several times smaller than a zip codes databases (which are for sale on every crossroad in the web), so I don't think that this is something like an attempt to "download the internet". Any ideas on where can I buy such a neighbourhoods database?
If you had to travel to 5 Southern US Cities, where would you go? I'm interested in taking a couple of weeks this summer to visit 5 southern US cities. I'd like to move in a couple of years so I'm looking to meet the people in the South that might be compatible with my way of life and my personality. If you had to do this, what cities would you choose?
What city in the US best fits my personality? I come from a small town in the southern US, but I've travelled all over the world. If you need anymore info, just ask! Thanks. abfabmom1: I'm good in all kinds of weather, so it's not really a factor. Thanks for all the answers so far!
What cities and/or states in the US have the best special ed districts to teach in? I recently became credentialed in california but am open to other cities and other states in the u.s. I want a district that is very supportive for new teachers and a good district for a mod/severe new special teacher to work in.
What US cities have the cheapest rent for apartments? I'm in NYC and I need to move out of my mom's house. I'm getting old (I'm 29). But I don't foresee myself paying any exorbitant amount of rent here in the big apple, so I think I must relocate to another city. Does anyone know of a fairly safe city in the US where the rent is cheap? Do you have any suggestions? Thanks so much in advance.

What is the best city in the US for a blind person to live? For blind persons, adequate transportation is a necessity. Many cities have little or inadequate public transportation. The best city would include a public transportation infrastructure that includes routes that run frequently to eliminate long waits and hours of operation that include night time, weekend, and holidays.

Which cities in the US have the best year-round weather (sunny and warm)? I'm trying to determine where I want to settle down and I'm looking for good weather. Ideally, it's sunny most of the time and relatively warm throughout the year - doesn't drop below 40 degrees. Of course I konw all about LA and San Diego, but I'm wondering what other cities around the US might be right for me. I like outdoor activities too (hiking, rock climbing, camping, etc.) - so if you know of a city near lakes and mountains, etc - even better!
How is Canada compared with the US and what are the best cities there? If you have been to Canada and the US, which do you like better and why? Which country seems more liberal? Why is my city one of the best cities for jobs in the US when I have trouble finding work in it? http://promo.realestate.yahoo.com/best_cities_for_jobs.html I live near the 2nd best city for jobs(Raleigh, NC) but I have to worst luck finding work. I had to reduce myself to a Target employee because I am running out of money trying to find employment. I have been on interviews many times this year and no luck at all. Do you even believe this list? Kinda contradicts the irony doesn't it. I have college education and graduated with a certificate(not degree). I had perfect attendance in school and I have 4 years of office experience.

Why does Yahoo Messenger display weather for US cities and not the UK cities I selected.? My software is BT Communicator with Yahoo Messenger. Although the weather cities show correctly on my Yahoo Home Page, in Yahoo Messenger, only cities from USA are shown. I have edited the latter to correct them, but still the US cities are displayed in Yahoo Messanger window. How can I correct this? I live in the UK. I originally downloaded the UK version and it worked fine for months - it has just decided to show US cities with no input from me! This is the situation with me too, my weather destinations on My Home Page of Yahoo are correct, but in the Yahoo Messenger window they show as 4 US & other cities. There is no facility to correct this in Yahoo Messenger. All started happening 2 weeks or so ago ... and also I am having problems with Yahoo Mail which a) is not allowing my email client to collect the messages and b) Yahoo Messenger says I have mail but there is none in my Yahoo Inbox. And yes, of course I have checked all my Yahoo folders too.
How do I add weather display for non-us cities in yahoo messenger 8.0 ? It only allows me to add US zipcode. How do I add other countries? My city list for the weather in my Yahoo! Messenger 7.5 was stuck and could not be modified. I could change it by logging on to my Yahoo! account but it does not reflect in my Yahoo! Messenger 7.5. That's why I installed Messenger 8.0. My weather display is OK now in Messenger 8.0 but I am not able to add weather for cities in foreign countries. (no zip code). How do I add cities like Tokyo and Bangkok ? Thanks, Jason
