Best States To Live Knowledge Base
Best states to live down south? I will be moving to a Southern state as my boyfriend is joining the US Coast Guard. I am looking forward to nice people, and warm weather. I am looking to live in a nice place with decent jobs, but my main concern is moving to the right place. I am a "Yankee" Democrat and I am just worried I will move into the wrong place with racists and bigots, and I do not tolerate the N or the F word. We live in a somewhat racist area and want to get away from it. Iam just worried about going from the pan into the fire. We will be stationed on the coast obviously, and want to stay away from hurricane prone areas. We both seem to like Maryland but have never been there to really tell. Any thought? Thanks! I mean the southern states of say, north carolina south carolina, georgia etc....arkansas and that area are way to backwoods for me
Choose best place to live from these four states? I am considering a move to either Washington state (WA), Ohio, Vermont or Minnesota. I realise Minnesota is a cold place but cold doesn't really bother me. If I want surf and sand I'll vacation in California or Florida. Great answers guys, gonna be tough picking one cos u guys are awesomely sincerely helpful. Those 4 states are my only choices cos they offer licensing exemptions for pharmacists from Canada.

Where is the best place to live in the United States for an Anglophile? I wasn't always an Anglophile but my last name is Irish so I guess that my ancestors had to be British! As an average American I grew up thinking that Brits were arrogant and always looking down at people less fortunate then themselves. When I first say King Ralph I was horrified at how the Brits would treat an American born King of all England. Just because Americans don't like British things like cricket! But anyway, after seeing Elizabeth Hurley in Austin Powers I have become a devoted Anglophile and would like to meet a girl like her. I have all of the Austin Powers movies and would like to know where is the best place to live in the United States for an Anglophile? I would like to marry a British girl and am interested to know what the most popular baby names are for the British? I have seen the movie Great Expectations and was thinking that a great name to identify a child with a British family would be, Pip. Please don't confuse Anglophile with Pedophile. A Pedophile has interest in children (I would call them perverts but when I do that I get my question deleted by the Yahoo administration so I am not doing that here). Whilst an Anglophile is someone that has an interested in Brits. I live in Las Vegas. Where are the British girls? I guess I might have to stand around the airport.

What are the best custody sharing scenarios when parents live in two separate states? I have an eight-year-old daughter attending school in California. I now live in Oregon to be near my family as I have epilepsy. I need to have custody orders modified so I can have my daughter here with me. I do not work and her father works full-time in California, but is married to a woman from Mexico, while I remain single. My question is what are the top custody scenarios I can present to the mediator before the court hearing that will be fair to our child and both of us as parents? I feel that I can devote more time to her since I do not work, but that by no means is to say he doesn't deserve time with her. I think having her for the school year would be best while he could keep her for the summers and extended breaks, however I feel he will not agree to this (we cannot communicate amicably on our own). Another is altenating the school years between states, but I think that would be hard on our daughter having to go back/forth between schools and having to make new friends. Help! I really appreciate all of your responses. This whole situation is literally immobilizing for me. I haven't seen my little girl in six months as it is. I'm going at it alone this time around without an attorney, as we have been back and forth in court for the past four years since we split which has cost me over $20k. I talk to her on the phone, but she doesn't even seem herself, like she is warped. I know it is about what is best for her, and her father sees it as what is best for him. He would remove her from my life permanently 100% given the chance. If her best interest lies with him in California, how do I deal with the grief and guilt of not being able to be there as her mother? I built my whole life around her, we did everything together. I asked him to inform me of school pictures, and he just let it go and said she has a new mom now and my daughter told me she never got any pictures. He doesn't share anything about her or her life with me. What do I do without looking scorned?
Best cities to live in the States? I know this question has been asked many times, but always get different opinions. I would like to hear it again. I lived in Bay Area, California for 5 years, then for job related issue, currently live in Vancouver, Canada. I kinda like both places. The California has very nice weather, but not much going on (boring). Vancouver is nice, very convenient to go around, nice beaches, but rains a lot, and small city. I am considering to move to Florida, which I heard it's fun, like beaches, weather, crowded, but downsides could be the education (for our children in the future), and safety. Any suggestions would be much appreciated! I live in San Jose area, there's nothing going on. There's no cars on the street after 10pm, all stores closed. If I wanted to go to beaches, I had to drive like 1 hour, and found out there's nobody there, even in the weekend. New York could be fun, like the scenes in Garfields where he lives. anyone know which area/city is that?

If the United States is not the best place on the planet to live what is? Liberals past experience has taught me that you will need this spelled out in very simple terms or you won't get it so here I go. Please notice that I did not express my own opinion here. The question did not state that the USA IS the best merely that if you would rather live somewhere else where would it be. So save the Self-righteous lectures for someone who believes you
