The best place to live and why? I want to live somewhere that is always warm, but the humidity is not too bad. I always loved going to Phoenix. I don't care if the weather is over 100 degrees as long as its not too humid. I currently live in Ohio, and I hate it. Winter is the worst. My boyfriend and I have always discussed moving to a warmer area but can never decide on the best place to go.
What is the best place to live in the Bronx? What is the best location to live or commute to the Bronx? My Fiancee and I are planning on moving to the Bronx area sometime this summer (2009). She teaches near the Buhre Ave Station, and I work in security for a large company -so I could be transferred to several places near the Bronx. I plan on commuting by vehicle, but she will have to rely on public transportation. She likes the idea of Parkchester - however I am worried about the area around it. I've heard Pelhem Bay could be nice. We are young, so we don't want to get too far from civilization. Together, we make about 100,000. Thanks for your help! Moose
Where is the best place to live (in the US) for a teacher? I am currently a teacher in Anne Arundel County, Maryland which provides phenomenal health insurance for my family. Currently, I am paying less than $100 for our plan which covers everything at a very low deductible/co-pay. Unfortunately, the housing market is extremely high here. We are thinking of moving but it seems like every county that has affordable housing has a lousy package for teachers. I understand the salary will be less but the price of health insurance is usually $400-$700 a month out of my pocket. My question is this: Are there any websites that offer a comprehensive look at multiple states, counties, or cities? Are there any lists of the best places to live for teachers/ Thanks
what is the best area in charlotte, nc to live in for $100,000? I will be moving to Charlotte in a few months with my fiance and i am looking for the best place to stay for the money (sub $100,000). We do not mind a little drive (under 45 minutes preferably). We plan on starting a family in a couple years and plan on staying at our next move for 5-10 years. So somewhere a couple young ones could grow up also. Thanks for any advice
living off the grid? where is the best place to live? I don't like extreme heat, 100 to 115 like phoenix. I am just starting to look into this lifestyle and I'm finding it fascinating. I don't own tv, but I love climate control. I can see using the sun for heat, but how do you keep a place cool off the grid?

Where is the best place to live (Maybe 100 points or more)? How can I give you 100 points, Well that means if I like your area, I will ask more questions and if you get the best answer. That means I like the area, which you know a lot about!!! That means when I ask questions about your area, that makes your the best person to answer my question. This means that you have best answer.Believe me If you get best answer, you can count on more questions. Which means more 10 pointers.and I could ask 30 more questions about your place. 30X 10= 300 points Do not give the category a false rating, because I will check on your area. I want to relocate and start my business /organization, and I will need people to hire, Name the city, state , and rate it on a scale from 1 being the worse to 10 being the best If you can only answer a few, thats fine. Although I would be greatful if you would be able to research, and find out all of the categories. 1) What is the City or County?___________________ 2) What is the State?________________ 3) Jobs:____ (I know economicaly the nation is in a downturn, but there are pockets of growth in some areas) 4) Business friendly:______ (is it easy to start a business)(do you see a lot of small, and NEW business? The reason the business has to be fairly young is because if there is a lot of old business's, that means that at ONE TIME, it might have been easy, but not now) 5) Police citations:______ ( In other words do police pull alot of people over) 6) Male to female ratio:_______ (lol, I just broke up with my gf, we broke up I told her I would be leaving the area within a year, and asked her to come. She said no, and we both agreed to plit ways, sad I know) So I am looking for a area with more females than males. 7) Afforable rent:____ 8) Food prices:_____ 9) Electric rates:_____ 10) Water & Sewer Rates:_____ 11) Environmental intiatives:_____ 12) Is it easy to have Alternative Energy's_____ (Really sunny for Solar, really windy for wind power) 13) Natural food stores:______ (Like Trader Joes, Whole Foods Market or othe Organic, natural stores) 13) Friendly People:______ 14) Is your city growing or shrinking:______ 15) A lot of immigrants or a few:______ 16) Pedestrian friendly:_____ Could you live in a trailer, or appartment, and walk in town to sho, and work. So you can do more walking, and less driving. 17) Lively community:_____ (Is your community always lively, people out always doing things) 18) College town:_____( what kind of college) 19) Wealthy community:_____ (The whole town does not have to be wealthy. I just want a wealthy section. I perfer to live in a town with poor, middle class, and wealthy. Because the poor are usually more "down to earth" Middle class can be like both. The reason I am asking this is, I may want to start a business, and wealthy people are the people who can really buy, believe me, I have nothing against poor, or middle class people) Tell me some other things about the area, or your area. Thank you so much. If someone wants to talk more, my non-YA E-mail is shavtrik@yahoo.com
Should I place a $100 bet online for my friend? My friend wants me to place a $100 bet for him at Bodog.com because he does not have computer. He wants me to use my money to cover the bet and place the bet for him. The only problem for me is, if you win the bet, Bodog mails a check to you and it takes up to 30 days. I can’t wait for 30 days to receive my money and I would like to use it for personal things. I asked my friend to give me his money so I can place a bet for him. He got mad and yelled at me because he said he shouldn’t and he doesn’t feel he has to wait 30 days. My friend said I can live without the $100 for a month because $100 is not a lot of money. I would like for my friend to win money. He is correct, I can really live without $100 but what’s the right thing to do here? Use my money to place a bet or should he use his own money to place a bet?

If you live in Southern California, how are the fires affecting you, friends, and places like hospitals? This is so terrible. I know some of the fires are accidental but can you imagine that some of these are actually arson? These arsonists are probably basking in glory watching the news as thousands of homes are destoryed. I hope these people are caught and sent to prison for life. What about the wildlife and all the pets especially like horses that couldn't be moved? CNN is reporting that it is like "Armagedon". That's very frightening. I just hope everyone is safe and we owe so much to these brave firefighters and anyone else stepping into help. I heard a jail had to be evacuated! Are places like the San Diego zoo in jepordy? What kind of upsets me is that the celebritiy homes are getting more attention. A $15 million dollar home is just like a $100,000 home, it's a place where you built so many memories and have lost irreplaceable belongings like photos of family and family heirloms. No one has died, correct? My prayers are with those affected.
Question for people who play 1 vs. 100 on xbox live? I do not fully understand the point of the game. What do you win, etc. How do you win, can u get 1st 2nd 3rd place. WOW! CAN WE LIVE THERE?? Do You Know the Absolute Best Place to Live? Hello, all! We are very weary of the place where we now live. It is very hot, even in March it has reached 100+ degrees on occasion. The weather is quite funky. Humid. Tons of allergens. And the cost of living has almost doubled in the last 15 years. Here is what we are looking for: A beautiful scenic place with all 4 seasons and snow in the winter. Affordable cost of living. Excellent universities nearby. Not a large city. Would prefer a smaller town. Cultural diversity. Museums, zoo, theater - both community and professional. Home or really nice apt rentals for around $800 mo. Excellent professional employment opportunities. Excellent hospitals. Many people may bike to work. Prefer bike paths. Very low crime rate. A liberal community. I want to hear from people who are actually living in a town like this or have lived in a similar place or have visited one or more frequently. That would be ideal. FYI - 'cause I know you will want to know, where we currently reside is San Antonio, TX. (Don't believe Chamber of Commerce info no matter where you are. Ha!) PS - I know that some people love San Antonio. There are many wonderful things about it for them. It is just not our town. We have tried hanging in there since 1990, but are ready to move on down the road. :-) MIKE - you need to re-read your email. Next question, is there enough space left for any legitimate or helpful answers?
1 vs. 100 Xbox Live Microsoft Points? I was just involved in a 1 vs. 100 Live game where as a Mob member I earned 800-points. My question is when do I see the points put into my account? or how do I access them to use them to buy things in the X-Box market place?
How much does it cost to live In Cambodia? My friend told me that when she was there everything was so cheap that you could live well of off $100 a month!!! I am actually really interested in moving out of the US and looking for a place that I can retire. Whats the best place?
i live in nyc - where can i go to find an inexpensive, less than $100, black dresser/chest of drawer? I reside in NYC and I'm looking for a store I can buy a black or dark wood chest/dresser for under $100. I would consider purchasing something and staining or painting it myself though it would be better if it was already the desired color. I'll also consider ordering online if there isn't a place around here to buy one from though I don't really want to pay for shipping. I've looked at Ikea, Target, Kmart and Walmart but they don't have anything under $100. Thanks

What is the best Xbox Live headset (Xbox 360) I can buy for an affordable price? I'm hoping to buy a new Xbox Live headset for my Xbox 360 with my Christmas money (if I don't get one for Christmas in the first place) and I wanna buy a headset that is durable, gives good quality sound, and doesn't cost over $100. My headset that came with the 360 broke, so durability is important, and I do know of the new wireless headset released, but I heard it has a weird sound issue, so if there's any better one out there, I'd like to know about it and where I could purchase it.

I won 80 microsoft points then 80 again 160 microsoft points 80 again then 600 microsoft points so I left and went to the market place to spend them but when I got there it said I have 0 and would not let me buy stuff that cost microsoft points. Help me choose our new place to live? We live in Tulsa, Oklahoma-Humid, miserable summers, with some snow/freezing in the winter. We have lived here forever and I've always wanted to move and experiece more. Now I am finally ready. Im an RN so its pretty easy to find employment. I have two daughters, ages 20 and 14, with the last one being biracial. We are wanting to move but are having some difficulties deciding where. Our first choice was Texas, but I hate the humid, horribly, hot summers. Sun is nice but Im not crazy about temps over 100 degrees. I know I dont want to live in California because of the high cost of living of most of the state. We want to move somewhere that, when we open the front door its so beautiful, preferably with mountains, and the ocean within and hour or 2 hours away. I also need somewhere that focuses on the importantance of education and embraces all races, as she is biracial. Im single (divorced), and want to find a place where there is alot to do. Where would you move?
Do you live with the feeling of constantly feeling unsettled? I am not sure what it is. I have never quite felt 100% settled. Every town or city I visit (even abroad) I think its a better place to live even though its possibly not. Im not sure what it is and just wondered if anyone else had the same experience.
It seems to me the economic downturn is helping the poor, is this true? All I hear on the news is crisis this and economic disaster that. But what I see on the streets of the little impoverished city I live in(top 100 worst places to live in America) is half priced gas, inexpensive new and used cars, and houses that poor people can actually afford. A general deflation all around. So I ask, are we not better off (the working poor that is) having watched all of the artificial wealth of the rich evaporate.
If you had $100,000 US dollars, how long can you survive in America without work? Say you justed migrated to America, you choose a nice town or city (reasonable cost of living), rent a place and live normally. How long before your $100,000 runs out? Include interest you make from putting it in a bank savings account. Some of you guys give 2 years? So, in other words you need to make at least $50,000 a year, otherwise you die? Is it so easy to make $50,000 a year?
Need 100 More Xbox Live Points!? I have bought 700, and they are sat on my Computer, doing nothing, but with the new maps out today, Im wondering where i can get the other 100 Points from? No one seems to seel them, even though I have seen cards with 100/200Points on them, being sold on ebay and stuff. If anyone can help me without spamming me, or sending me to this ridiculous places that never end up giving you the points anyway, please, I would be really gratefull. I need some new maps with no glitchers! lol Thanks for the replies up to this point. Unfortunatly, I dont really trust MS when it comes to Debit Card details and all, because apparently, when you remove them, they are kept hold of by MS, or you simply cannot remove the details. Id prefer buying them but it looks like no one does them anymore. You can still get 200 Points with Uno from one seller on eBay, but thye wont email the code, and because they are in the states, it costs about $8 to send it here!
can you live off of 100 euros p/w in holland? i'm going to study/work abroad in southern holland soon, and my internship is going to pay 100 euros a week? can i survive off of that? Is it adequate? i won't need to pay for a place to stay or food.

If you could live forever or as long as you wanted IE 100 or so years would you and how long? Let me explain a little more i was someone who feared death, maybe more so afraid of the unknown and being alone and leaving so many loved ones,so i began to think wouldnt it be nice if we could live as long as we wanted, that is those of us who wanted to.look i know its all a part of life's cycle your born you live a little while and then you die but what if i dont want to live "a little while" what if i want to see my kids grow up and there kids and my great grand kids ,not to mention this big beautiful place called earth. there was an episode on the golden girls where they tackled this very topic in where sophia was having chest pains and rose says "why do we die life should be like a library card you check out a book keep it for a little while return it and checkout a new one" i agree, though if youve ever watched that show then you know rose probably isnt the one i should be quoting, but there you have it whats your oppinion. wow so many great responses this kinda makes my day, the cobb webs, deciding when to go,living forever minus the ailments im with you there, thanks i could never pick a best answer there all so great!

Can I afford to live in California? I currently live in Rhode Island but I am moving to California in three months. I got hired for a job in Santa Monica that pays $100,000 a year and my husband was hired for a job in Long Beach that pays $75,000. That’s a total household income of $175,000. Can I really afford a home on this. I just sold my home in Rhode Island for $230,000 and I made $53,580 after paying the realtor. Where is a good place to live that we can afford, yet still get to work. I don’t mind a long drive, just not too long. I currently travel to Boston for work, which takes about an hour. I would like to own a house, not a condo. I have two sons and would need a 3+ bedroom home. I’m just a little worried how we can afford to live there. I’m flying out on Monday to find a house, but I’ve been looking on the internet and checked out the San Fernando Valley, Long Beach, and Northern Orange County. All I see is homes that are like $625,000 to $950,000. Is this feasible? Can I really afford California?

Why do so many Americans believe that to live in this country, everyone has to speak english 100% of the time? Now, I am not saying that immigrants should not learn english, because I definitely believe that anyone moving to another country should try his or her hardest to learn the country's native tongue. But again, why should they lose their heritage as well? Why must immigrants conform and forget their roots just to have a better life here in the US? I think that everyone needs to think back through their family trees and remember that they, too, came from another place, or at least once spoke a different language or dialect than what is spoken here. Even those people of UK ancestry speak a different dialect than that of their ancestors. Have they forgotten this? If they have, they need to wake up and realize that there is a huge world out there, with many different types of beautiful and wonderful cultures. No one should ever have to give up where they came from...and it is ignorant and infuriating to me to think that there are so many people out there that expect someone to do this. English is God's language? How is that when the Bible was written in Hebrew? And Jesus spoke Hebrew? In response to Timothy W: I wrote this question from personal experience. I equate the loss of my native language to the loss of my heritage because if my children are forced to be embarrassed to speak spanish, from ridicule and hatred, they will never learn how their family history the way that I did. It is important to know where you came from, and to relate to your family members back in the country from which you came. This is not morphing two topics together, but rather they quite clearly correspond. I have had people come up to me, in public places such as grocery stores or the mall, and rudely tell me that I am "not allowed" to speak in spanish to my neighbour or on a telephone call. This is when it is ridiculous. I clearly speak english with no problem. So why must I forget spanish? I should not have to, and will not. How does this correlate with losing my heritage? Because the language of your ancestors is the largest, and most intimate part of your heritage and it should be an honor to be able to speak and interact the way they do and once did. Plus, it will only ever help you to know more than one language. It can never hurt you to know too much. Just a note: Not to be too rude...but I think that it is really funny how so many people can yell and use all capital letters to show that they believe everyone should speak ENGLISH ENGLISH ENGLISH... and then they themselves do not even know how to spell half of the words that they have typed... I'm sorry, but I find it hard to be sympathetic to someone who judges before they look at themselves.
I live in West Virginia, and I love it here. Have you heard bad things about it here? What? I think that it is a wonderful place to live. I will always live here. Some people that don't live here just think that we are incested and rednecks. Sure, there are ALOT of people who hunt, but not everyone does. I think hunting is 100% ok. I don't hunt, though, it makes me sick to my stomach. Most of the people who do hunt do it as a hobbie, not an life obsession. Well, let me know what you think and what you've heard about West Virginia. I live in the 2nd biggest city here, too!!!!!
