Best places to live in Bay Area?!? My boyfriend and I are moving to the bay area for work and school. We're both in our mid 20's. We will both be traveling to San Francisco for work and school, but cannot afford to live downtown. Public transportation is not an issue, as we are very comfortable and used to the el and subway system having lived in Chicago nearly all our lives. As long as we're close to the BART, that's all that matters. I am wondering which city/area of the bay would be best to live in and offer an "easy" commute to SF. Should we get money from the US bailout to pay our mortgages off? It is better to live in a town with no friends for more money or to live with less money and have friends? I can keep my cost of living down and save more money if I stay in my current town or I can go to a more expensive place to live. If I stay, I have more money and can do more but I don't have any friends here. If I move, I have less money (lot less) but will have more friends around to share my time.

My dad had surgery. and cant work he is 72 and my mom is ill also and I want them to be able to stay independent as long as possible, but we do not have much to help, but they found a little trailer park and can move a 1 or 2 bed trailer their cheap enough. But I need to find a fixer upper that I can buy if anyone knows of one around Elk city okla it would be very much appreciated. They are on about a 800.00 a mo budget. The surgery has left them with nothing due to not able to work. Please help me find them a place to live. they qualify fo housing but there are none available at this time. a mobile home fixer upper would be perfect. I could help them get it fixed up.
