Where are the best places to snowboard and surf in california?

1. Tijuana both for snowboard and surf
2. Snowboarding is good at mammoth mountain and big bear.
3. Mountains and the beaches.
4. Id say anywhere in mid california, probobly mammoth mountain for snowboarding and if your really good Id say go mavericks for surfing or if your ok hunnington beach.
5. Snowboarding, Mammoth is the best if you're willing to drive, or are close enough. It has a gnar-gnar park there. Big Bear isn't bad if you're in So Cal. Surfing, it depends on what style you want to ride. Best longboarding spots have to be Swami's in North County SD, Malibu in North LA. Both of them are the sweetest rights that go on for days on a good day. Mavericks for the big waves, and Black's Beach for the best beach break on a shortboard, or single fin.
6. If you go east from LA about 200-300 miles there's this one lake that has epic waves and salt dunes that double as snow if you use your imagination. I've had the sickest sessions there and no one is out. Go there and when you're done keep heading east.
7. Where in California? Northern California, Southern California, somewhere in the middle? California is a really big place and has really good snowboarding and surfing throughout the state. Surfing is great near Santa Cruz San Diego, and LA. What are you looking for specifically? Big waves, mellow rides, low crowd? Mavericks is world class if you like big stuff. San Diego and LA are both good for general surfing if you don't mind crowds. SanO is decent and was at least less crowded than everywhere else when I was out there last. Of course there had been a White sighting the week before, but no biggee right? Snowboarding, Bear (south), Squaw Valley (north) are both really good. but are on different ends of the state. Shasta is okay but I wouldn't say great as is Donner. Those are both Northern. Kirkwood and Heavenly are both very good but also Tahoe area. Mammoth is good for another southern/central option.
