Where is the best place in Texas to raise children?

We're contemplating relocating to Texas with a young family and looking for advice on the best places to live with plenty of Financial jobs and a low crime rate. We would like a newer area with plenty of opportunities. Any ideas or suggestions?

2. Upper North Dallas, Addison, West Plano, Frisco, North Carrollton are all low crime rate places with lots of jobs around the Dallas Metroplex. Austin has been declining, Houston has high crime and the rest of Texas is slow paced and prejudiced.
3. Beaumont Texas,,,small community and close to houston..nice area and its growing a lil bit...good luck.
4. Katy, Texas. I just moved here a few months ago. I really like it here in the neighborhood I live in. Its peaceful and quiet at night. There's alot of places hiring here and Houston so close.
5. Any small town that is close to the cities like Houston, Dallas, Austin etc... crime rate is always lower in the small towns in any state. You will also find out the people are friendly and very helpful.
