- i heard from a friend in s. carolina it was myrtle beach
- i dont know why you want to vacation there. i hear they are having storms soon. my sister is from there and she doesnt like it anymore. too many bugs and its humid. yuck
- Chapel Hill is a cute university town in the center of North Carolina with lots of bars and nightlife. It's North Carolina's beaches and mountains, though, that are truly unique to the state. Downtown Wilmington is really cute and there are nice beaches in that area, but many of the locals tend to prefer the lesser known Topsail beach, which is quieter and more pristine. There are also beautiful lighthouses and unspoilt beauty in the outer banks of North Carolina. If the mountains that are your style, visit Asheville. Go to the farmer's market, shop in the antique furniture stores, and visit the Biltmore Estate. In South Carolina, Charleston is definitely worth visiting. It is a very beautiful and historic city. Myrtle Beach, SC is famous, but only go there if you like touristy places and loud nightlife. The beaches in South Carolina are not as nice as those in NC. Hope this helps
- Everyone seems to be saying Myrtle Beach, SC. That is a great vacation spot and you can get hotel catalog for free from www.mbchamber.com. It's called "Stay and Play" It has a list of all the hotels on one side and on the other it tells about all of the area attractions. Usually the book also comes with coupons for different places. There are a lot of fun mini golf courses all over the place down there and of course the Pavilion. Lots of fun rides and games. Then there is Ripley's Aquarium.....Best one I have ever been to. Hard Rock Cafe, Planet Hollywood, and lots of other shops over on Broadway at the Beach. There is always something to do there. Other great places are Charleston, SC, Wilmington, NC, Carolina Beach, NC. Or you can go to the mountains. The Blue Ridge Parkway is beautiful and quiet. Not much to do there though except look at the scenery.
- N.C. - The Outer Banks - Nags Head, Kitty Hawk, etc. S.C. - Myrtle Beach Both areas are great and have an offering of lots to do for Mom and Dad AND the KIDS !! Have fun - spend time at both locations - they aren't that far away from each other.
- myrtle beach
- Asheville, NC- funky little city near the mountains. Also recently saw it in a "Top 100 secret places in the US" in a Brit magazine. Myrtle Beach is very tourist-y but it does have a lot to do Ocracoke, NC is a really awesome vacation spot-- beach, cool shops, good food, and/but hard to get to
- Emerald Island and or Atlantic Beach. Nice quiet area with a little bit of night life if you look real hard.
- Depends on what you want. If you want something romanitc and laid back, go to Charleston, SC if you want a party atmosphere go to Myrtle Beach if you want the first but to be at the beach try James Island, the Isle of Palm, or Folly Beach all of which are minutes away from Charleston
