Are there any really great places to visit in Colorado that are more hidden and not in most tourist guides?
We are about to take a trip to roadtrip to Colorado from Texas and would love to know where to find some lesser known places that are beautiful to look at or neat to visit.

- Biggest thing is get off of the highways. If you are looking for a winter destination off of the beaten path (but not too far) head for the Durango area in SW CO. If you enjoy the old west, east of Pueblo there a number of historic sites and a national grassland. In the summer, any county or state road will be used lightly compared to the Interstates and US Highways. Have fun and explore.
- Here's one practically no one knows about. Pagosa Hot Springs. Look at the wonderful things to do and see there: http://www.pagosahotsprings.com/
