2. Might I suggest up in Graves County? There's an old Rutile mine up there and they have mineral sellers up there when it's open. You can also go looking for rutile (TiO2).
3. Looks like Georgia is top shelf in mining minerals. If your looking for AU or gold there are some old timers that still believe Dahlonga County, and Lumpkin are the best. A lot of miner's ran off to California during the Gold Rush of 1829ner;s and left loads of gold behind in GA.
