best places to live

Best places to eat in the central Connecticut area?

Just curious as to what you guys think. Please don't waste your time posting lousy fast food chains, or everyday crap like tgifridays or dennys. (neither one of them are "good". sure, good to go at 4 am when you're bored and hungry w/ your friends.. but thats it) Any places w/in 20 miles of downtown Hartford will do. I've been to a lot, most, maybe all!

  1. I travel to Connecticut often and have dined at the following restaurants. Max Downtown - This place is as good as it gets. Upscale steakhouse. Great wait staff. A bit pricey, $50 per person. City Place 185 Asylum St. (bet. Ann & Trumbull Sts.) Hartford, CT 06103 860-522-2530 http://www.maxrestaurantgroup.com/index.htm VIVO Seasonal Trattoria - Northern Italian cuisine, great wine list. Marriott Hotel 200 Columbus Blvd. (bet. Arch & Grove Sts.) Hartford, CT 06103 860-760-2333 http://www.waterfordgrouprestaurants.com/ Trumbull Kitchen - Very trendy crowd, great ambiance. Interesting menu. 150 Trumbull St. (bet. Asylum & Pearl Sts.) Hartford, CT 06103 860-493-7417 http://www.maxrestaurantgroup.com/locations/tk_index.php Koji - Awesome sushi/Japanese. They serve HUGE martinis. They even have Kung Fu movies playing in plasma TV's in the restaurant. Really is a fun place with great food. Good bar scene as well. 17 Asylum St. (Main St.) Hartford, CT 06103 860-247-5654 http://www.kojidowntown.com/ Coyote Flaco - Great Mexican food. The decor is not the best but the food is authentic. Service is a bit slow, also has outdoor dining. 635 New Britain Ave. (Mountain St.) Hartford, CT 06106 860-953-1299 Good luck and Enjoy!
