Places to go swimming near Waterbury, Connecticut?

Does anyone know any good places to go swimming near Waterbury, CT? All the places I know of are gross and always busy..I'm looking for a place that is a little less busy so I can actually swim.

1. Have you tried the pool at Pomperaug? They have hours where the public can come and swim. www.pomperaug.com
2. There is a YMCA in downtown waterbury...it has an open swim time and it is not crowded at all since you have to be a member. I suggest becoming a member. I went there for a swim meet once and it was nice. Also the surronding towns such as newtown and southbury have high school pools, and more crowded town pools. I am a member to the brookfield YMCA and i like it.
