Will be relocating due to job and want to find the best area. Slightly over 50.

2. Charleston is nice and Hilton Head island if you can afford to buy a house there
3. It depends on what your interests are. Do you like cities? Coast? Golf? Mountains? Housing Costs? SC has it all. Take a look at Lake City between Myrtle Beach and Columbia. Me, I prefer small towns not too far from the action.
