- In New York, there are lots of options - the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, the Empire State Building, the Museum of Natural History (and the Hayden Planetarium), The Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Museum of Modern Art, the Museum of the Moving Image, the New York Public Library (main branch, on 5th Ave. from 40th-42nd Street) - those are all off the top of my head. The sites below can give you more options:
- After you visit all the tourist filled attractions, here are some fun suggestions: -Cold Stone Creamery - best ice cream I've every tasted! they have one in chelsea and one in times square -washington square park - usually on the weekend there are some great street performers there! -radio and television museam near NBC studios -see if you can be in the audience at ricki lake. they were on hiatus last time i went but they gave me a bunch of free t-shirts! -staten island ferry at sunset - beautiful!! -stroll around china town -don't forget central park! have fun - NYC is incredible!!
- You can always walk around Times Square, there is alot to see and do there. Also on 38th St there is a place called Deli Plus. They have really good food and are pretty inexspensive. Look around in Chinatown, They have a Bugghist Temple there, it's quite a site to see.
