Where do you find an ethernet cable longer than 100 feet that will work with Xbox Live?

im trying to get xbox live and i measured where i need to get the cable and its just barely more than 100 feet. is there any certain store or place online that has cables longer than 100 feet. all the place around where i live only have the 100s. Will a longer cord make it any slower? is there any way to connect 2 ethernet cords together?

1. make it yourself, buy a spool of cat wire , get some connectors and a crimper and follow the directions go to a radio shack, best buy
