60% of Fortune 500 cos equip their corporate aircraft with smoke hoods. Do airlines protect you from smoke?

  1. :-)~
  2. Dude, are you kidding! Buy a website! And you didn't ask a question.
  3. Those who want a protective breathing apparatus must bring their own. Those who want the protection of Nomex must wear their own. Those who want asbestos gloves must wear their own. Those who want the protection of a crash helmet must wear their own.
  4. Corporate aircraft operators usually (99.999%) only have them for the flight/cabin crew, not passengers, as do airlines. They are difficult to donn (require initial/recurrent training), and would pose a threat with 200 passengers evacuating with this extra equipment. Thats if they could successfully don them before they are overcome with smoke! John Q Public would not be able to operate this equipment, half of them barely have the intelligence to donn the O2 mask. Just look at them boarding with their shorts and flip flops, and polyester clothing think they are suited for an emergency evacuation where fire and debris are likely to be present? If you want to make crashes more survivable turn the seats around (aft facing) and provide safety harnesses instead of lap belts! EASA is out of control!
