What is the best city to live in Massachussetts?

My husband and I are relocating to the western suburns of Boston. Where is the best location? We have no kids and would like to spend about 299K on a house. We would like local amenities and some privacy. Charming yet something to do!

1. In Massachuttes , there is no best place to live . I suggest Conneticut instead
2. newton is really nice, there are some great little neighborhoods and it is safe. very easy to get to and from the city. It is more of a small city but very well kept. a great little downtown with cute resturants. I would really check it out! my grandparents have lived there for years!!!
