How is Canada compared with the US and what are the best cities there?
If you have been to Canada and the US, which do you like better and why? Which country seems more liberal? And which Canada cities do you like best? Have any of you actually been to Canada? It doesn't seem like much inside information ehre. It seems like stereotypes you've seen on tv.

- It all depends what you are looking for. There are many similarities between the two countries but also many differences. Canada is somewhere between the US and European cultures. I would say Canada is the more liberal of the two. My favourite Canadian city is Ottawa.
- Canada is infested with Liberals and the best city is Banff
- Canada has an identity crisis. It's not sure if it wants to be European, British, or American. To make up for this insecurity they put the word "Canada" in everything that's named up there. The Canucks can be pretty polite, but they are the most obnoxious trouble-makers when drunk. Ask anyone from a border city like Buffalo or Detroit. Montreal is cool, and so are some of the Maritime provinces. Toronto is clean and modern, but just a little too sanitised and dull for my tastes. All in all Canada is a pretty boring place. America offers so much more opportunity and life! Canada can be a bit flavourless. The winters are long and brutal too. All there is to do is watch ice hockey, which gets pretty damn dull by March. The season goes from September to May and the Stanley Cup Championships are now held in June! Needless to say, hockey is on TV all the time up there, so you better develop a taste for it if you plan on living in Canada for any length of time.
