What US Cities can you survive in without a car???

What US cities can you live in and not need a car? where is a good place to live if you just want to take a bus or cab or walk and don't have to drive?

9. My home town New York is the very best. In fact it is best to travel around the city by subway, bus, taxi or just walking.

11. All small towns have some form of public transportation but the best are in NYC , San Fransisco and Chicago but remember its not just your car its your freedom and i can't be reliant on a bus schedule

14. Research big city's to see what kinds of public trans they have. One word of advice, I was in Boston and took a cab. Never tell the cab driver you are in a hurry.

17. DeKalb, IL definitely, except when the weather gets too bad you will have to wait it out. I hate to drive, if I can get someone in my posse to drive I do it.
