Why does Houston, TX have "n/a" for Air Quality Index...Continued?

Why does Houston, TX have "n/a" for Air Quality Index in the Money Magazine review of the "Best places to live"? Is the air quality so bad that they don't even want people to know what it is? Check it out here -> http://money.cnn.com/magazines/moneymag/bplive/2007/snapshots/PL4835000.html If the air quality is pretty bad they should let people know it for the sake of their health!

Public Comments

  1. Maybe that explains my allergies
  2. Odd, isn't it? Perhaps the stats weren't provided to the magazine; they're available elsewhere.
  3. I take it you haven't been there recently. It's bad - I'd say it's the most industrial place other than Tokyo that I've ever been to. There is no air quality there.
  4. Houston sucks period: I can't wait to leave!
  5. They probably put n/a for air quality because it varies so much around the city. The eastern and southern parts of Houston usually has a lower air quality then northern and western parts of Houston, due to industrialization.
  6. One of two reasons: Either 1) considering the size of the Houston Metro area the readings vary too much, or 2) the information wasn't supplied to the magazine in time for publishing.
