Where are the best places to live in Wellington, New Zealand for a young family ?

1. One bit of information I can pass on is that you need to be able to support yourselves for a year at least. A friend and his girlfriend emigrated to New Zealand a few years ago, and before the New Zealand Government would even consider letting them in, is that they needed to have written proof that they had savings of at least £80,000 EACH.
2. Upper Hutt. Friends of mine have been there for years. It is a very happy community.
