- Phoennix as all kinds of things to do. Go to the Zoo, go hiking.
- There are outdoors activities like hiking (I recommend Camelback Mountain if you are in good shape - it has great views of the city from up there). There are desert jeep tours. You can drive up South Mountain for free. Desert Botanical Gardens are kind of cool. Tons of shopping at places like Kierland Commons and Scottsdale Fashion Square (in Scottsdale) and Westgate City Center (in Glendale by the football stadium). Cabela's is by Westgate in Glendale if you are into the outdoorsy stuff. There are Casinos too like Casino Arizona. There are good restaurants too. Cheaper options like Pie Zanos, Patsy Grimaldi's and Sauce; mid-range options like Blue Wasabi Sushi/Martini Bar and Cibo Urban Pizzeria; Pricier options like Coup des Tartes and House of Tricks. Sedona is gorgeous and about 90 minutes away. The Grand Canyon is three to three and a half hours away too. - Arizona is a death oven nowhere here is fun
- depends on what u like.if u want snow go to flagstaff and grand canyon during the winter, but in the phoenix area there are some things you can do like hiking, zoo, castles n coasters, etc.
- Glendale doesn't have much in the way of tourist attractions. Rawhide, a wetern themed attraction in Scottsdale,is pretty cool. There's no admission charge, at least there wasn't when I was there 10 years ago.The botanical garden in Phoenix is nice.Scottsdale itself is a very nice city w/ a lot of good shops, restaurants, and resorts. There are a lot of art galleries in the downtown area. Have you ever been to Fountain Hills? It's a beautiful town surrounded by foothills that borders Scottsdale on the northeast. To get there, take Shea Blvd. east in Scottsdale all the way to Fountain Hills. Fountain Hills has the world's highest fountain, at over 1,000 feet. Fountain Hills also has the Out Of Africa Park, which is a fun place to go.It's like a zoo w/o bars. There's a really cool show I saw there in which an employee was swimming with tigers.
- Phoenix: Phoenix Zoo, Heard Museum, Science Museum, tour Chase Field, go hiking at Camelback Mountain, North Mountain, South Mountain, Piestewa Peak, etc., Go tour the Biltmore (estate built by the Biltmore family, very beautiful), Desert botanical gardens, drive through some of the historic district Glendale: Lots of sport events at West Gate (Univ of Phx Stadium, Jobing.com arena, some cool restaurants, spring training games both at Peoria Sports Complex and Maryvale sports complex (I believe that's what it is called now, just changed the name), shopping at Arrowhead Town Center, hiking at Thunderbird Mountain, boating up at Lake Pleasant, antiquing in downtown Glendale, etc. There are a bunch of things to do in Scottsdale, go out to see the Fountain in Fountain Hills (and the Mansions), Lost Dutchman's State Park out in AJ, Casinos around in different places, Rawhide, Mill Avenue, Downtown Scottsdale, there is a ton of fun things to do around the Valley.
