"U.S. forces have begun arming nationalist guerrillas and former Saddam Hussein loyalists"?
That's the current CNN headline. Um... Isn't that half the problem? Whenever U.S. interests get attacked it seems to be by their own weapons. Besides the common sense, where also is the morality in this? Isn't it convenient that the people who support this kind of action tend to not live in the places that get attacked?

- yes the first step to put the old regime back in place.
- Don't tell me you guy thought there was going to be Democracy in Iraq after the Insurgency did you? US Forces are supporting the sheiks in Anbar Province who have started to fight Al Quida of Iraq and other insurgents. This was urged by the occupation forces in 2004 right after the war as a way to get those area up and running again ,the sheiks are tribal leaders whose rule is law, but the political people under Breemer said it was the old way and that the plan would not foster democracy. The same with the army most Leaders could see getting rid of the senior officers and the Republican Guard Units, they would have owed their jobs to Saddam and the Bathist Party, but not the whole Iraqi Defense Forces. Instead of seeing a moral problem I see a country that is starting to boot strap itself out of it's problems. I for one plan to watch this and urge Congress to support it even if the President won't. It seems that we now have some real leadership in Iraq and maybe we can start to draw down our forces
