best places to live

Which FLORIDA cities are best for young/new families?

  1. I recommend the gulf coast of Florida. We take our three boys there every other year. Normally we stay on Fort Myers Beach, but this summer we're trying Sanibel Island, since we go there anyway on our FMB trips and love the seashells!! You will find more than you know what to do with. It's just a fun, relaxed time for all with plenty to do. Much better than spending miserable hours in a line in Orlando. Our boys have a blast finding anemones, crabs, and so many creatures!
  2. Really depends what you are doing... obviously for a vacation.. you need to be at Orlando, Miami, the Florida Keys or any one of numerous beaches.... but for a life here, again depends on what you do or what you want out of a life here in Florida... for example, if you work in the field of science (research or medical)... then you need to be in Palm Beach County or Martin County as this is becomming a Meca for this work... If you are looking for affordability (which is not Palm Beach County) you should be looking at the south west coastal areas of the state (such as Fort Myers, Punta Gorda, Port Charlotte).... If you are looking for newer communities AND up and coming with many job opportunities, you should be looking along the east coast just above Martin County (such as St Lucie County) also many of these fast growing towns along the east coast like Sebastian, Vero Beach, Melbourne and Stuart.
