  1. i dont live in america i live in england God save our gracious Queen, Long live our noble Queen, God save the Queen! Send her victorious, Happy and glorious, Long to reign over us; God save the Queen! O Lord our God arise, Scatter her enemies And make them fall; Confound their politics, Frustrate their knavish tricks, On Thee our hopes we fix, God save us all! Thy choicest gifts in store On her be pleased to pour; Long may she reign; May she defend our laws, And ever give us cause To sing with heart and voice, God save the Queen! Not in this land alone, But be God's mercies known, From shore to shore! Lord make the nations see, That men should brothers be, And form one family, The wide world over. From every latent foe, From the assassins blow, God save the Queen! O'er her thine arm extend, For Britain's sake defend, Our mother, prince, and friend, God save the Queen! Lord grant that Marshal Wade May by thy mighty aid Victory bring. May he sedition hush, And like a torrent rush, Rebellious Scots to crush. God save the King!
  2. BBQ's Tad's
  3. Chili's Apple Bee's Red Lobster Haiku Sushi Bar
  4. The Hell's Kitchen area (9th Ave between 45th st and 55th st.) is known for trendy cheap eats. Here are a few places to try: - El Centro: affordable, trendy mexican (one of my all-time faves) - Vynl: American burgers & more. Awesome for lunch. Gets very crowded at dinner because people go there for drinks. - Q2 Thai: modern thai food. Inexpensive food. Nice atmosphere. If you're in the west village try these places: Corner Bistro: best $5 burger in the city Soy Luck Club: veggie/vegan/organic/soy food. Really tasty shakes and paninis. A Salt & Battery: UK style fish & chips.

There are loads of pizza shops, chinese takeaways etc and they are all gorgeous. Dont forget to visit the posh McDonalds near ground zero, it has a piano player in it so you can eat your burger whilst someone tinkleson the ivories lol

Good noodle soup (Pho) and bbq beef plate with rice and good crispy spring rolls too...For dessert, buy some fresh fruit on the street (bag of cherries $3.00). Or try a japanese sponge cake or sweet topping bun from nearby Fayda bakery (www.fayda.com) $9-15.00...Eatery (53rd and 9th)...clean hip new york vibe restaurant without the price tag.

  14. You're in luck -- contrary to popular opinion, New York positively abounds with affordable places to eat. Rather than tell you specific restaurants I enjoy -- then having you schlep over to them and discover we don't have the same taste in food -- I'm going to steer you to my favorite "cheap eats" neighborhoods. That way you'll have plenty of options to choose from. First up, Hell's Kitchen. Don't be put off by the name! This neighborhood, which runs primarily along Ninth Avenue from 41st Street to 52nd Street, is overflowing with ethnic restaurants. Here you'll find everything from French to Ethiopian, Thai to Mexican, and virtually all of them are inexpensive. The majority are quite good too, which raises an important point: The standard New York test for restaurant quality is how busy the place is. If there's a wait for a table, line up! If the place is empty, keep walking. Next up, is the East Village and Alphabet City. This is the neighborhoos in the southeastern quadrant of the city, with the "Alphabets" being the Avenues named A, B, C etc. In this part of town, you'll discover a cheap eats venue every three feet! Lots of NYU students call this area home, and they're usually not looking to spend a lot of money, but they ARE demanding in terms of quality! The benefit is obvious: Literally hundreds of hip, lively places to dine; and rarely will you need to spend more than $10 for your dinner. Drinks are another matter, of course, and plenty of that goes on in this neighborhood! Enjoy your trip to New York!! Kango Traveler
