Best suburbs or county to live in northern Illinois?

I was raised in Mchenry, IL and my overall experience was great, but I live in CA right now and plan on moving back in the next 10 years. What are the best places to live in northern Illinois?

1. It depends on what you want in the town. I live in Wheaton and its great if you want to raise kids, and you're Christian. I personally hate it, but 94% of the kids going to my high school go to college, and we have lots of churches and its really safe. Its about an hour from the city. But its really really really really BORING.
