best places to live

I need an extremely cheap place to live, and a very low-stress way of making money...?

I need a life free of stress for a while. I don't want to have to worry about paying bills and rent, and I don't care about having a high paying job, just one that will not demand much performance or fast pace. What are sine extremely cheap places to live, and what are some extremely easy jobs? I don't care if I have to move to another state to make it happen. I just need to completely rid my life of stress and anxiety. I would even consider being committed to an institution of some kind if that was the best solution.

  1. Register and vote for the Democrats. They are well on their way to giving away everything you want.
  2. You'd do well as a boarder. Nowadays, families are quick to hire someone to help their elderly loved one (cook meals, help with cleaning, etc) in exchange for free room and board plus a little spending money. Otherwise, find you a job in something you like (no job is without stress) and try finding a place to live sharing a room in a home. You'd make a great boarder!
  3. Good luck.
  4. Cheapest place to live: your parents' Stress free job: dog-walker
  5. Honestly, don't we all? The upper Midwest (Dakotas, Minnesota, Wisconsin) are much cheaper for cost of living than the coasts. You can actually find adequate apartments around here in the $500 region. Other thoughts: 1. Don't get married or even bother dating. One night hookups only. It's expensive to "be in love". 2. Live in your parents basement or share rent with about 3 other people. Perhaps a studio or efficiency apartment? 3. Get into reading. Make yourself a frequent visitor to the Library. Not only to expand knowledge, but to have a CHEAP hobby. Dog Walker. Pet Sitter. Some data entry jobs. Everything kind of has stress though, if you are into performance and whatnot.
  6. Be carefull what you wish for as it might come true!!!
  7. Become my father in law. Become a heavy equipment mechanic and reside in a small town that relies on the forestry industry. You make much more than an automotive mechanic and the small town housing prices allow you to get by pretty well.
