Best places (towns) in Colorado for families with small children to go?

Hi, I'm planning a family vacation to Colorado this spring. Besides Estes Park, Colorado does anyone have any suggestions on other places to go and things to do. I have two children ages 3 and 5 so I am looking for things they would enjoy also. Thanks!!

2. Check out Denver. It's only a short drive from Estes Park. Denver has all the attractions you'd expect in a big city. Six Flags Zoo Aquarium Botanical Garden Science Center Lots of stuff for kids that an adult would enjoy as well. Take a side trip Colorado Springs, and take the cog-railway up to the top of Pike's Peak (for heaven's sake don't drive up. I did it and swear it I'll never make that mistake again. NO GUARDRAILS). If you belong to AAA, get the TourGuide. Check out the summary sections in the back, rather than browsing through each city.
