best places to live

UK student wanting to spend some time living in a European city/cities over the summer break. Suggestions?

I moved to England from Australia for University almost 6 months ago, and am thinking of what to do with a bit of my summer break. So I'd like to explore some options of maybe living in a European city for a little while. Though maybe in the end a holiday would prove a better option. So does anyone have any suggestions from previous experience? I'd be on a tight budget, btw.

  1. Madrid or Barcelona Spain. Munich or Frankfurt Germany. Tuscany or Roma Italy. Here are a few suggestions. It really depends on how much you're wanting to spend for living costs. You should do research on how much everything would be in those specific cities. Should be a really fun experience!
  2. Check out homestay sites like couchsurfing or similar. Feel also free to email me. I'm German and live in a medium-sized university town. I got a couch I sometimes let people kip on.
