Other big cities not far from Chicago?
I am considering a trip to Chicago in the spring, and I've never been. To maximize on the trip I'm wondering what other big cities reachable by Greyhound I could visit for a day. What cities would those be and what are some great places to not miss? I'd appreciate some good input on this. Thanks.

- Milwakee, WI if thats how you spell it.
- Saint Louis,Indianapolis, and Milwaukee.
- Milwaukee's only 90 miles north, and has some interesting sites, including a terrific art museum and the Miller Brewery.
- Of the cities mentioned, Milwaukee is the closest. Its an hour and a half to get there and you can go up by Greyhound and by Amtrak (http://www.greyhound.com) (http://www.amtrak.com). Both modes of transportation get you to the downtown area of Milwaukee. From there its a short walk to the lakefront and other area attractions including Marquette University and the Old Third Ward. Its also a short cab/bus ride to the Mitchell Conservatory, Miller Park (home of the Milwaukee Brewers), the Milwaukee Zoo, and the Miller Brewery. (http://www.milwaukee.org/) Have fun!
- I like Kalamazoo. I can't belive no body said it before me. I love St Joe. Go to the Mc D's and head up the road. You'll eventually run into Silver Beach park next to the lake, picnic there. It's always beautiful in Michigan, you'll love it
- Milwaukee, St. Louis, Minnepolis, Indianapolis, and Detriot.
