Are there any places in Texas to treasure hunt?
I have been watching the Travel Channels show Cash and Treasure, and have yet to see them dig in Texas. I was wondering if anyone knew of any places in Texas that I could dig for treasure?

- Yeah....I feel safe in my assertion that there is not too much treasure to be found here in Texas.
- You cant just dig for treasure, there has to be a treasure your digging for and trying to find eg Captain Kidd's treasure. Do some research on the net and see if there are any myths of treasure being hidden anywhere in Texas Good luck!!!!
- Perhaps Galveston on Galveston Island. I wouldn't be surprized if artifacts and treasures come ashore there.
- Saw a guy at the beach this weekend with a Geiger counter. Didn't see him find anything.
- the coastal island beaches after a storm with a metal detector
- this is third time i have written this today , but i will ask again . why does yahoo put a question like this in the hunting section? just because the words hunt or hunting are somewhere in the question does not mean it belongs in this category. come on yahoo do your job or make some different categories.
- With such a gem like you why would you want to get your danty hands dirty Hunting for Treasure? And don't forget that your knees could get dirty when you look in the hole, unless you kneel down on one of those Protest Signs, I'm sorry, Posted Signs. I hear that downtown Austin likes to see folks digging up dirt.
- All along Padre Island but be careful not to do any treasure hunting on state property. It is protected. During the days when Spain was plundering the gold and silver from Mexico and Central America, many treasure laden ships sank in storms off the Texas coast. To this day, following a storm, the occasional coin or relic is found on the beaches of Padre Island. Good hunting!
- TREASURE IN TEX-ASS, NO such a thing...... Well maybe Hooters in Dallas-Fortworth.... Saw some treasures in there a few times..... LOL
