What are the greenest places in Texas?
Well I guess Austin is very green due to the fact that it lies near rivers, and so does Dallas. But what are the greenest places in Texas? And compared to Tennessee, Washington state and Virginia, how do you rate the greenness of Texas to them? I mean: How do you rate the greenness of Austin to that of Seattle for example? Please explain...

- The greenest place in Texas is the Bush Estate, in the safe where they keep all the GREEN....
- Border with Luisiana and Arkansas.
- the forrest
- they have green places????
- I'll bet President Bush's garden looks nice and green
- The veggie isle @ the supermarket!
- East Texas is green. Austin not as green. West Texas is like what you see in the westerns. Scrub oaks and cactus. VA and TN greener than TX, never been to WA Edit: Austin is not really that green. It does not rain enough except for last year. The trees are small, like about 25 foot tall, the grass turns brown and there is always a fire hazzard in the summer. Spring is nice and it begins the hill country which is why it is not that green. Great place to live - would like to move back.
- The Piney Woods of East Texas. Check out Tyler, Nacogdoches, Sam Rayburn and Toledo Bend Reservoirs and the only natural lake in Texas, Caddo Lake. East Texas is full of pine trees and the second largest forestry school in the nation, Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches. The trees towered over my 4 story dorm building when I was a student there.
- East and Southeast Texas is the greenest. The further west you go the more desert-like it becomes until it becomes completely desert.
