Dallas Suburb bans apartment rentals for illegal immigrants?
http://www.cnn.com/2008/US/01/23/texas.law/index.html So the local government decided to enforce a law checking a persons legal status inside of the country before a rental can be made. This makes sense to me, if you are here illegaly why should you be given a place to live right? Well apparently there is a debate, and as seen in the picture and mentioned in the article, controversy over it. Given that illegal immigration is a hot topic that doesnt surprise me, but... What possible argument could you have AGAINST such a law? An illegal immigrant is not supposed to be in this country anyways so how could you possibly defend them saying they should have the right to rent property, thats just ignorant and stupid. I just dont see who could possibly have an issue with this...

- There is no legitimate argument against such a precaution. These illegal aliens and their supporters seem to think that Americans should approach them with hat in hand and asking what we can do to make their illegal stay a better one.
- Go Farmer's Branch! The people who have issues with this will answer your question by calling you a racist.
- The list is getting bigger of anti illegals supporters>When will the Liberals & REP see what the citizens want & have told them to do> NO Amnesty of any kind>But they keep pledging them support if elected>
- There is always some idiot who will defend the "rights" of illegals to be in this country and have access to the same things as actual citizens. There isn't any rational, legal, argument. The Constitution does not provide any rights to people that are here illegally. They are breaking the law and should be treated like the criminals that they are.
- Great law. Any arguments opposing it are made moot by the fact that being illegally present in the country is..well...illegal.
