best places to live

Is Canada really the best place in the world to live in?

I'm searching for the perfect place to live in the future and wonder if Canada is the one, since there was some survey sometime ago saying that Canada is the world's most comfortable home. So is it true? I'm a 15 year old Singaporean searching for the perfect place to live in the future and wonder if Canada is the one, since there was some survey sometime ago saying that Canada is the world's most comfortable home. Not that I'm saying Singapore is not comfortable enough (life is stressful here), but in the future I would want a nice home in the world I can always return to. I actually don't mind 4 seasons and culture shock (since I love traveling), but I need to know how life is different between Canada and Singapore, and whether the fact that life is best in Canada is true.

  1. Nah, Sydney, Australia is THE best place to live in. Sun, Beaches, great weather, mountains close by, fabulous views and very casual.
  2. you bet its the greatest place in the world to live
  3. Canada is a great country to live in and call home. We have four distinct seasons for you to enjoy year-round, a great education and medical system and a diverse landscape from the west coast to the east (beaches, mountains, prairies - even deserts!) We have large metropolitan cities and small tranquil towns.
  4. Any survey that says Canada is bad, just do not believe it. Canada is a very good place to live, a;ways in the top ten in the world with a vast majority of regions to live very comfortably and well. Services are good, health care is excellent at no cost and its education system is second to none. I have lived here all my life and would never move away. I live in the north on a lake enjoying all the sports of water, peace and tranquillity I desire. No crime here or guns, only in hunting season.
  5. It is impossible to say any country is the best in the world because everyone has different criteria. For example, if you hate cold weather, Canada is not for you. However, if you like a variety of seasons, Canada is a great option. I am Canadian and I feel Canada is a good country to live in but standard of living is certainly declining compared to other countries in the world. You mentioned you are searching for a new country to call home. If you are coming from a warm climate, I would recommend coming to Canada in the middle of January (when it is very cold and we have a lot of snow) for a month and if you still are interested at the end of the trip, it is the place for you!
  6. This question best answered by someone who has lived in various countries, but I would like to offer my thoughts anyway. Not the best: we seem to lag behind a lot of countries when it comes to innovation ie: environmental awareness and action, public transportation, weak legal system, expensive to raise a family The best: peacefulness, relative cleanliness, great schools, employment, wealth of activities to enjoy, taking care of the less fortunate (no one here lives in a shanty), a great governmental system, lovely variety of seasons
  7. To me it sure is. No place is perfect but we'v we got a pretty good thing here.
  8. ...4th best place on earth, actually
  9. Yes, Canada is a beautiful place to live and it is great to have clean air.

  11. i don't think canada is the "best" country to live in but its is ONE of the BEST countries to live in. Its beautiful here with ppl living here from all over the world. Canada is peaceful with tons of job opportunities. If u have any kids than thats great cuz we have one of the best education systemes and medical support in the world.
  12. Australia: better weather Canada: friendlier people Other places: crap or not as good.
  13. its very multicultural so if you move in the right neighbourhood it wont change much from singapore in terms of culture
  14. Canada is a nation that ranks among the very best for its quality of life. This is partly a factor of prosperity and a great environment. But the key factor is its People.Canadian society is recognized for its human values and is built on principles of fairness, compassion, justice, and opportunity for all. These principles are entrenched in our laws and our institutions, but above all they are entrenched in our culture.Canadian society is defined by its diversity. We continue to learn from the rich history of First Nations and we have always been strengthened by the dynamic relationship between Anglophones and Francophones. Canada is a young society, one that is still being shaped by immigration from the entire world, making us a nation where language, religion and ethnic background are not a source of conflict, but one of understanding and unity.
  15. canada is great we have the four seasons, great financial systems ecspecially for those coming from coming from other countries, and we have the best health care, you get a health card and you are good to go free doctor visits and hospital you only have to pay for your meds, schools are great, and if you have a good job with benefits, your meds are really cheap, there is bad stuff that happens everywhere no matter where you go but i believe the u.s crime rate is much higher than canada above all you can find anything you are looking for in canada
  16. canada is amazing.
