what european city would make the best vacation??

1. London is amazing. Visiting any of the castles in Europe makes any trip unforgetable. Depending on what interests you there are different placed to go. Rome- amazing. Auszwitz- imfamous. Paris- fashionable. I could go on and on.
2. What are your interests. Each country and each city is so different. The city I first visited was Munich. It was fun and there are many area within a few hours drive that are beautiful and interesting. Whatever city you visit be sure to see the smaller town and countryside around it. Read the message boards on www.frommers.com for suggestions.
3. Edinburgh has a week long festival filled with acts from around the world. Catch it if you can.
4. London or italy.
5. Try Istanbul! It's affordable right now in a way that much of Europe is not. The people are friendly, and sights are amazing! You might be better off with a packaged tour if it's your first time, but plenty of people speak English and you'd be OK on your own if need be. Turkey is the greatest place I've been that I wasn't smart enough to know to want to see! We went in August 2007 and loved it!
6. If you're young, you'll have a great time in Amsterdam. Lots to do there and its not that expensive if you can stay at one of the hostels in the city. I recommend the The Flying Pig which is located in the heart of Amsterdam. website : http://www.flyingpig.nl/
7. Second for London, Paris is so overrated. Seriously.
