  1. You want to aim for the Cherry Creek School District, which is one of the best in the state. Homes around these schools can get pricy, but if you find the right realtor (or even do your own searching) you can definitely find housing to suit your needs. This is a suburban area that's southeast of Denver, in a city called Aurora. Centennial, Englewood, Greenwood Village, and the Denver Tech Center are also quite proximal to the area.
  2. The answer above me is correct too but that area is a little more expensive then Castle Rock, CO. Castle Rock was named the best place for families... They have wonderful schools. We are going there this week to look for homes. Here are a few helpful links below. One thing I love about Castle Rock is how much there is to do for kids... their rec center is amazing. http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2007/07/18/earlyshow/living/parenting/main3068911.shtml http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ee4Zodzfsy8 http://www.ci.castlerock.co.us/SectionIndex.asp?SectionID=32 http://www.castlerock.org/relocation_guide.asp
  3. I agree with the fact that Cherry Creek school district is one of the best, but the downfall is that the homes in that area are older and more expensive. If you are considering renting, then no issue since the rental cost is pretty much the same anywhere area Denver. But if you are buying, look into Highlands Ranch. It's a new vibrant suburban town. It's grown tremendously in the last twenty years. In fact, it's one of the fastest growing suburbs in the country. Most people in the area are young families, with the parent in their 30s and 40s and with two or three school age children. Needless to say, there are a lot of schools. It has a couple of charter school. One of them is called Platte River Academy. http://platteriveracademy.com/ My kids went there and it was great. The problem is that they are so popular that there is a huge waiting list. If one of your kids is middle-school age, then it's much easier to put him/her in since they usually have spaces for middle schoolers. Then the two other can get in quite quickly based on sibling priority. You youself can also look into getting a job there.
  4. As mentioned above, the Cherry Creek School District is by far the best in the state and one of the best in the country. However, homes in that district are very expensive and one of the most expensive places in the country to live (Greeenwood Village). The south side of Denver (Cherry Creek, Washington Park, etc.), and the suburbs on that side are very nice and very safe. Most of the suburban school disricts are fine too. Stay away from the Adams School Distric (Commerce City/ Brighton) and DPS (Denver Public). In all fairness Denver has one of the best inner city districts but it still lacks compared to the burbs. Good pay for teachers though in the inner city!!! Washington High School in DPS is VERY good though.
  5. Cherry Creek SD or Douglas County! I went through Douglas county schools, and I feel it was great prep for collage!
