best vacation places to go in california?

I am taking my kids to California this summer and i would like to find out the best places for families to go and hang out ie Disney land,sea world,etc..............it has been several years since i have been to Disney land and from what i hear it is a big waste of time and money is that true?........and where is a place that my daughter can swim with dolphins?
