- If you like bass fishing you might want to find out about Lake wylie near your area. I hear GREAT fishing up in Gaston County. You might want to ask around for exact spots on fishing communities online. Like bountyfishing.com - Tight Lines Jon
- Try Lake Murray It's pretty large and close to the capital city. There is also the Broad River. I am not much a fisher but those are the two well known bodies of water. http://www.sciway.net/tourism/fishing.html
- yep santee cooper wished i was down there about now i bet they tearing up some bass
- Lake Murray for sure. about 30 min from Columbia. lots of public places to put your boat in or fish from the bank and its free. welcom to the south.
- Lake Murray and Santee-Cooper are your best bets. Santee is known for its world-record catfish and is also a great place for big bream, crappie, and bass alike. they usually hang around the numerous cypress trees in the shallows as cover from larger fish, as great hunting grounds, and as a nursery for raising their young. their catfish are an average of 50-80 pounds, and a small one is usually around 25 pounds.
