- Santa Barbara---good culture, quaint Thousand Oaks---no crime great schools Arcata---rains alot but hip people Pasadena---good culture San Francisco---sucky weather but beautiful Palm Springs---good culture, blisteringly hot Carmel---beautiful, high class Laguna Beach---arty, clean beautiful Santa Monica---hip, multi-cultural Mendocino---wine country, beautiful
- San Marino, Pasadena, Hillsboro, Santa Barbara, Montecito, and unnamed places that are quiet and in which I could have room to spread out a bit to do my work.
- If it was allowed I would build a house in Yosemite National Park overlooking Bridal Veil Falls. I like it kinda cold so my picks are mostly in Northern/Central California. San Francisco, Carmel, Monterey, Humboldt Bay, La Jolla, Torrey Pines, Nevada City, Ojai, Lake Tahoe, Pebble Beach, Truckee, Eureka and Santa Cruz for its wackiness.
- Malibu El Portal, just outside Yosemite Carmel Highlands La CaƱada Big Sur Sausalito Pacific Grove Montecito Rancho Santa Margarita Solana Beach Newport Beach
- Chatsworth Simi Tehachapi Piru 1000 oaks carpenteria Old topanga canyon mount shasta anywhere in the desert tahoe Crescent city Modesto Bakersfield well actually i mentioned 13 but I like em all ------------------------------ What 6 thumbs down?? what do you people have against thousand oaks???
- Monterey/Carmel Santa Barbara Malibu/Pacific Palisades San Clemente Del Mar La Jolla Rancho Palos Verdes and visinity Huntington Beach Newport Beach Bel Air /Beverly Hills Inland there are too hot and smoggy except mountain.
- I live in Huntington Beach & I love it here. It's not too upscale & not cheap either. I would say Malibu, Pacific Palisades, Zuma, Corona Del Mar, Newport is nice depending. Don't listen to the Laguna Beach stuff. I freaking hate that place. I lived there & my Mom had a shop there for 15 years. The entire town knows your business b/c it's so small. There are tons of wanna be hippies on the beach begging for change & the "artsy" thing gets really lame after a while. A bunch of teenagers reading bad poetry in coffee shops. And again, NOSY people.
- 1. Cameo Shores/Pelican Point, Corona del Mar 2. Diablo 3. La Jolla Farms 4. Seacliff (SF) 5. Montclair district (Oakland) 6. Zephyr Cove (ok its NV but it's right on the border) 7. Riviera district, San Clemente 8. Monterey 9. Pacific Palisades 10. Orinda
- This is a question you should ask in the San Francisco answer section - it's much prettier up there, and the homes in Marin Co., Carmel and Monterey are beautiful .... also the Napa/Sonoma Valleys are beautiful. But, for Southern California: 1. La Jolla 2. Linda Isle 3. Lido Isle 4. Emerald Cove 5. Peralta Hills 6. Villa Park 7. Rancho Bernardo 8. San Marino 9. Westlake Village 10. Lake Arrowhead
- Mission Viejo, Ca because it was voted one of the safest cities in the nation. http://www.beachcalifornia.com/mission-viejo.html
- Irvine, Pacific Palisades, Malibu, La Jolla, Newport Beach, Cupertino, Pebble Beach, Hillsborough, Foster City, and Burlingame.
