Which cities are the best cities to relocate to in McHenry County, Illinois?
I am interested in relocating to Chicago in 2012 and relocating to McHenry County with is about an hour northwest of Chicago. When I move to Illinois, I will be 29 years old and I would like to live in a city that has both the METRA and the PACE Bus System and the city must have a hosptal in the city. Which cities in McHenry would you say are the best cities to reside in that have the METRA, the PACE Bus System and a hospital.

- McHenry, IL (Would be my choice) The links below should help you figure out where you would like to move to by using public transportation. The PaceBus route numbers in McHenry are 806 and 807 Good Luck
- I would move to Woodstock or Crystal Lake, they both have frequent Metra Service, unlike McHenry, which only has 3 train in each direction a day. They also have a few pace routes, and they have bigger populations. Also consider Fox River Grove and Cary
- McHenry is really buidling up..woodstock needs work there is really nothing in woodstock.. Make sure you really do your research, depends if you are buying a house prop taxes can be high in McHenry too.. It is mostly farm country in these towns but like I said they are building up so by the time you come here it should be ok. Good luck to you
- Check out Lake in the Hills/Algonquin. You can catch the metra at the Big Timber station. A brand new hospital in going in on Randall road, about 10/15 mins. away. Right now the PACE bus system isn't as good in the suburbs than in the city.
- Cary has the Metra and a good school system, if that is a concern. No hospital but an urgent care center with hospital in nearby city.
