Do you think that China is going capitalism?
I have read many topics about China here, so I want to say something. I have lived in China for about 15 years, and I can see that changes take place every day in this country. I think some of the people (I mean non-Chinese, including me), misunderstood this country just because it is led by a communist party. But in fact, after Deng Xiaoping, Chinese people seem to have given up what they called "pure communism" (the unitarianism which you could see in the Soviet Union in the past days). Although the Chinese government states that they are communists, yet they do things in a capitalist way. BTW, I can read all the newspapers and watch TV programs from all over the world in China, such as Times, Reader's Digest, CNN, CNBC, etc. Even though they will be censored sometimes, but you can't say that it is a big progress: at least they allow their people to watch and read them. What do you think? Many Chinese people say that pure communism will bring their country to death, while the situation in China now can help them get a better life.

- Let me tell u.. China is proving communist ideas in the best possible ways. the moral of the story- We all are going to surprised by the result!
- Eventually, I believe it probably will. Whether this takes 50 years or 500 is something only time will tell.
- i think they are no longer pure capitalism. yes, central control is still there and there are now capitalist. i suppose they will be having what i coin as confucian capitalism. which is controlled capitalism.
- China is out there to demonstrate to the world that communism does work. Sort of similar to what the New Labor Party are doing in Britain. But I believe, for both China and the Labour Party, the true colours will shine, soon!
- China is probably gonna be the economic chief of the planet after 15-20 years and then it doesnt matter if you call it capitalism communism or potatoes... Dont forget... one billion 700 million of people and growing.... and... they all work 16 hours a day 7 days per week and they are payed around 70 dollars per month... Capitalism, communism makes no sens in the future following these dimensions...
