What are some the best cities in Turkey for me to visit?
I would like to know the top ten or at least 5 cities to see other than Istanbul. It is for a trip i am planning and part of the plan involves arriving at IST, basically the city of Istanbul.

- Definitely explore Istanbul, but I would agree with Hurricane's list. I have visited 4 of the 5 places on his list & must concur. No doubt, you'll have a wonderful time wherever you visit.

- Eskişehir... You can go eskişehir by express trains . It is about 4-5 hour to eskişehir . Eskişehir is a university student city . You will not have a speaking problem . City has a beatiful atmosphere like Venezia . If you don't want to stay in there you can go back to İstanbul with night trains. 1 day will be enough to visit Eskişehir .
- I suggest you take a historical map(s) and books, and visit, after Istanbul: Ephesus Trabzon Mardin Edirne Historical map, because it will help you see the "depth" of the sites, rather than the "surface".
- Tell more details about who you are and what you are after-Nightlife or history?
- Well without a doubt Istanbul, then Izmir Selcuk Ephesus Antalya, and Cappodocia... You have then covered the basics, for a more relaxed time try Bodrum...
- 1- Corum 2- Yozgat 3- Kastamonu 4- Cankiri 5- Haymana county
