Do you think San Diego is the best place to live in the United States?

I love it so much I'd probably live in a cardboard box and work for pennies to live there. Would you?

  1. No never.
  2. No. I prefer freezing winters and really hot humid summers. So, go ahead and enjoy the perfect climate on your own.
  3. I love it here but I will go where God sends me.
  4. Been here 35+ years. Really great weather. Great Mexican food. Lots of beautiful people. But.. I hear parts of Texas are real nice.
  5. ive never been there, but as a native manhattanite im sure id prefer san francisco.
  6. NO!!!! because its in CA. and CA. is the worst state to live in!!!!
  7. no I've heard it is San Fransicso
  8. "best place to live" is pretty subjective - there are a lot of qualities that would fit into defining what makes a place good to live. But here's what San Diego has going for it as a best place to live: 1. climate. not too hot in the summer and fall, not too cold or wet in the winter. very rarely humid. gotta love a place that has so many days of sunshine. 2. open space - the cities of the san diego region have done a good job in preserving a lot of open space around, rather than simply developing over them -- there are lots of canyons where nature is abundant. plus there's the beaches, lagoons, mountains, and desert for more outdoor recreation - hiking, mountain biking, surfing, snorkeling, sailing, rock climbing etc. 3. good mexican food. nuff said. 4. some really pretty parts of town.. whether it be near the beaches or further inland. and there are parts of town for however you'd like to live. 5. good jobs - there's a lot of different industries in the region - telecommunications, biotech, electronics, tourism, defense, education, etc. some drawbacks: 1. housing costs - pretty expensive. 2. politics - the city of san diego is in financial hot water and might take a few years to get things on the right track.. meanwhile funding for city services and replacing aging infrastructure is hurting. one general plus for california - restaurants and bars are smoke-free!
  9. Probably, but you'd need to have a well paying job and be able to afford their high housing costs and the sky high cost of living in general! San-D-Ego. PS: Housing costs in SF are even higher!
  10. It's nice but, the houses here are EXPENSIVE!! ='( There's also tons of traffic at 8AM and 5PM on Interstates 5 and 15 every weekday. ='(
  11. it is truly nice and the weather is nice, but if housing goes any higher I will have to work two jobs and not be able to enjoy the weather.
