Best states to live in?
what are some of the best states to live in?? me and my husband are currently living in NH and we don't really like it, so we want to move with our 19month old daughter but we want or daughter to be safe. but we have a couple of requirements for where we live... - it has to be by a ocean, so it can't be one of the central states. - we like cities but we don't want to live in a big city, so maybe outside - and we dont want it to be super expensive for a house. anyone have any ideas?

- Florida - no state income tax lots of nice clean cities near the beach too!
- Texas, fun and cheap and it has a huge coastline.
- Definatly get the fuck out of the states and come to Canada
- California! it has everything! beach, mountains, surfing, snowboarding, forests, small towns, big cities, farms, and parks! and there all just a few hours away from each other! its like a whole other country! plus the housing market is REALLy cheap right now where i live, in the northern valley! I LOVE Cali! :D ♥
- virginia is nice, and not too expensive. my uncle also lives in north carolina and he says its really nice there. i live in erie, pa right now. its not very expensive, its not a huge city..and i know you wanted an ocean..but we do have a beach..because of lake erie. my one friend lives in northeast. its a small town 10 minutes outside of erie. its not very much money and her house is RIGHT on the beach. its so so pretty
- Here's a stupid question since half the US falls into what you are looking for... what do you do for a living? The US is a pretty damn big country but if you need certain things for what you are skilled at you're job may dictate where you live. http://www.sopadre.com/landing.php http://www.gulfcoast.org/ http://www.savcvb.com/ http://www.hiltonheadisland.org/ http://www.naples-florida.com/ There's some I'd recommend.
- Texas fulfills your requirements to a degree.....we do have a nice coastline but it isn't ocean coast, it is gulf coast (there is a difference, the water is not crystal clear) But we have a great r/e market, nice homes for not a lotta buck and in most parts it is safe. Lots of suburbs around the Houston area or smaller/city type towns near the gulf. But I would definitely advise the mid section of Texas, like Austin or San Antonio, sure it is further from the ocean, but it is near great lakes, nice flowing rivers, and the citys are very nice, especially for young couples. I personally have never lived there, but I have lived in Houston and Dallas and now live in the country in Texas. And hey we may get some hurricanes but nothing like Florida!!!!
