best places to live

Is connecticut a good place to live ?

i have seen "reservation road" a drama starring jennifer connelly, and i was charmed by the beauty of the locations where the feature has been shot. my question is : is Connecticut a good place to live ? what are the best spots and sites that would interest a future tourist like me ?

  1. Yes, Connecticut is a very nice state to live. I live in NJ and have relatives in CT.....so I am there a lot. It has the charming New England feeling .....pretty historic homes, safe communties, parks, etc. It's gorgeous all year long. A popular tourist destination is Mystic Seaport. There are also many beaches and lakes throughout the state which are fun. I can't remember the name of the town but we used to take a short ferry trip to this small beach....it was really nice. I also use to vacation in Kent....but I'm not sure how much that has changed ...haven't been there in over 10yrs. Greenwich is probably one of the wealthiest towns in the state. Good places to live are Danbury, West Hartford, Farmington, Avon....there really are so many places. However, property costs and taxes are very high in Ct.
