What city in the US best fits my personality?
I come from a small town in the southern US, but I've travelled all over the world. I guess you could call me a hippie (in the best sense of the word)...I'm a very laid back person, into the arts and music, nature and up for anything. Which US city sounds like it was made for me? If you need anymore info, just ask! Thanks. abfabmom1: I'm good in all kinds of weather, so it's not really a factor. Thanks for all the answers so far!

- San Jose CA
- New York!! All types of people live here! Even awesome people! I luv my city! lol =P
- Definitely west coast. Berkeley, and Santa Cruz, CA are both great places for laid back hippie types. Portland and Seattle are also great. All of the above can provide easy access to great art, music and outdoor activities. What kind of weather do you prefer? If you're open, then you have a lot of options. I live near Santa Cruz, and think it's a great place to live, work and play. We're surrounded by mountains on one side, and ocean on the other. The Monterey Bay Marine Sanctuary is beautiful, and parks like Big Sur are close by. On top of that, the Silicon Valley is quite close, so jobs aren't too hard to find. There's a very popular bumper sticker for locals that reads, "Keep Santa Cruz Weird". There are people of EVERY type here, which makes every day interesting!
- Boring, Oregon
- Austin TX fo sho!! So Austin is south US and is bordered by small towns if that's your scene, but it is also a big city for the worldly sort of person. Austin is known as the live music capital and is known for art, music, and hippie nature loving types. There are tons of parks and music festivals and things going on all year. It was also voted the #1 city for singles (if you happen to be single) for the night life prob. Austin is consistently ranked in the top 10 US cities to live in, also was in the top 10 fittest cities as well.
- How about Santa Fe New Mexico. It is Southwestern, has art and music It is also in a very pretty part of the country with a lot of open space.
- yeah, definitely west coast. i agree with what the second person said.
