What are the top10 best cities to live in and why?

I'm looking for American cities specifically catering to singles, married couples with no children, and retirees, Employment, housing, cost of living, transportation, and weather are also important criteria.

1. well, right now, somewhere in the midwest maybe. on either coast its expensive. i live in ft. lauderdale,fl and cost of living seems to be getting higher. theres plenty of housing, transportation is everywhere. as for weather, its called the sunshine state for a reason. The singles scene down here is NUTS....ever heard of south beach? climatis street? orlando? the KEYS?????
2. What ever cities get listed here under no circumstances even consider Orlando FL. It is a murderous city and gets worse every year! Most of the homicides are unsolved. STAY AWAY!!!
